If I didn't know better, I would've assumed this was the prequel to the 2 Girls, 1 Nasty nightmare that recently swept the net. But this is actually how they sold ice cream in the '70s. Lick happy much? Either I have a dirty mind or advertisers were downright shameless back in the day. Or both.

How could wisecracking Stewie - the see-all, hear-all, know-all toddler on Family Guy - have no knowledge of the "2 Girls, 1 Cup" Internet gross-a-thon? But he didn't. So Brian pounced on this naivety, conned the tyke into sitting in front of a computer, put a webcam to work, and hit play. Stewie's "reaction" was pretty darn adorable, of course. In a twisted sort of way.

He's got one hellavuh short fuse, so when all the reaction vids, pop-up ads, and Net Nanny filters get in the way of his "girls and cup" fix, all insanity breaks loose. (Warning: Language NSFW)

The disgusting phenomenon known as "2 Girls, 1 Cup" took over the Internet in the last few months of 2007. The original video of two freaks doing the unthinkable with a cup was not as viral as the videos of people watching and reacting to the sick scene. Here's one of those reaction vids. The poor pug below has no idea what he's in for, but once it begins, he can't contain his gag reflexes and utter disbelief at the indecent display before him. The horror! Now can we stop corrupting each other and put this madness to rest in 2008?

Okay. This next one comes with a caveat: listener beware, your ears may be permanently damaged. If you don't live online, you're lucky you have no idea what the terrifying words "2 girls, 1 cup" evoke. Let's just say it was one of the most revolting videos ever out there, and that you should never watch it. I didn't. But I did have the fascinating pleasure of watching vids of a slew of people watching the vid, and let's just say it didn't make me any more eager to view this nastiness. But then along comes this ballad, and it somehow makes everything all right...

Whatever the merits of this essay, and notwithstanding the fact that the student shouldn't have written on lesbian scat/vomit porn for class without asking first (HELLO?!) - I respectfully disagree with the teacher here. It could've been an interesting essay. (On a side note, is it "apropriate" for this teacher to teach if spelling seems to be an issue?)

Healthy Substitutions For Baking

I really enjoy baking and find the weekends are a great time to make sweet things with my sweet things. My girls love baking too. When making sweet treats, I do try to substitute with healthy ingredients when I think I will not be sacrificing the texture and flavor too much.

I found this list of substitutions at the American Heart Association, and I think they are great. Definitely worth giving a try if you are trying to reduce your intake of fat, particularly the saturated kind which can increase your LDL cholesterol.

Ingredient	Healthy Substitution
Whole milk (1 cup)	1 cup fat-free or nonfat milk plus one tablespoon of unsaturated oil like safflower or canola
Heavy cream (1 cup)	1 cup evaporated skim milk or 1/2 cup low-fat yogurt and 1/2 cup plain low-fat cottage cheese
Sour cream	Low-fat cottage cheese plus low-fat or nonfat yogurt (fat-free sour cream is also available)
Cream cheese	4 tablespoons margarine blended with 1 cup dry low-fat cottage cheese; add a small amount of fat-free milk if needed
Butter (1 tablespoon)	1 tablespoon polyunsaturated margarine or 3/4 tablespoon polyunsaturated oil like safflower oil
Shortening (1 cup)	2 sticks polyunsaturated margarine like Earth Balance or Smart Balance
1 Egg	1 egg white plus 2 teaspoons of unsaturated oil (canola or safflower) or commercially made, cholesterol-free egg substitute
Unsweetened baking chocolate (1 ounce)	3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder or carob powder plus 1 tablespoon polyunsaturated oil (like safflower or corn oil) or margarine. Carob is sweeter than cocoa, so reduce sugar in recipe by 1/4
