Making love could be one of the few pleasures in life that is genuinely good for you, say researchers.
Not only does a healthy sex life boost mood, but there is growing evidence to show it boosts your physical well-being, too - from increasing longevity to reducing the risk of erectile dysfunction and even heart attack.

Many people like extra lubrication during sex and normally reach out for the Vaseline, baby oil, and even cooking oil. However, though it is highly pleasurable, using such lubricants is not safe since they interfere with the latex in condoms and could cause unwanted pregnancies and even allow the spread of STDs (sexually transmitted diseases).

ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- In spite of prevention efforts, new cases of some of the most common sexually transmitted diseases are going up, according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Much of the burden of STDs falls on adolescents and people in their early 20s, the CDC says.
The report, "Sexually Transmitted Disease Surveillance 2007," also said that women and minorities in particular are more likely to have sexually transmitted diseases, or STDs.

This gives "no glove, no love" a whole new meaning:
Researchers Find HPV in Men's Fingernails
Laura Koutsky, a University of Washington epidemiologist, and colleagues have identified traces of the human papillomavirus under the fingernails of young men, a finding that could "throw a monkey wrench" in the debate over a distribution of HPV vaccines, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports. According to the Post-Intelligencer, HPV is primarily a sexually transmitted infection, and some opponents of mandating HPV vaccines for girls have said such regulations could send a message that "sex at a young age is acceptable behavior" (Paulson, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, 7/31).
Earlier this year, 24 states and Washington, D.C., considered proposals to mandate HPV vaccination for middle-school age girls, but Virginia is the only state to have passed such a measure.
