For ice cream:
5 large ripe peaches (about 2 pounds)
4 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 3/4 cups sugar
2 tablespoons peach schnapps*
2 1/4 cups milk*
2 2/3 cups heavy cream
8 large egg yolks
1 pinch of salt
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
For cookies:
5 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
4 large egg whites, room temperature
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
Pinch of salt
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 tablespoon minced crystallized ginger*

It must be a slow news day in the U.K., too, because Amanda Platell, controversial celebrity columnist for the Daily Mail, is looking to pick a fight with Bob Geldof. Bob’s 19-year-old daughter Peaches, whose mother, Paula Yates, died of a heroin overdose in 2000, reportedly overdosed on an unnamed drug a few days ago. Platell, who has written about “Saint Bob’s” lax parenting style in the past, says he’s to blame.Peaches anyone?

Peaches and Cream Cheesecake 3/4 cup flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 package vanilla flavored pudding mix, small one 3 tbsp butter or margarine softened 1 egg 1/2 cup milk 1 can sliced peaches, drained and must be a 16 oz can, save 4 tbsp peach juice 1 package low fat cream cheese softened.........(8oz) 1/2 cup sugar 1 tbsp sugar mixed with 1/2 tsp cinnamon Grease a 10 inch springform pan and put it aside. Okay, partysugar posted this recipe about making peach ice cream like 2 months ago, and I made it the next day, but I haven't been able to get the pictures off of my camera until today, so here they are. Better late than never I suppose! :OY:

cooling the peaches in an ice water bath
softening the peaches in sugar and lemon juice
Infusing the milk and cream with peach skins and pits
Egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla mixture

Easy, Quick, Delicious Peach Cobbler
What You Need: 13 x 9 pan 2 sticks of butter, sliced (can also be done with only one...) 1 Box of Yellow Cake 2 Cans of sliced cling peaches in syrup, (one drained, one with syrup)--also, peaches will be better distributed if you cut them up. Keep the two cans separated until you add them. Heat oven to 375 degrees.Grilled Chicken With Strawberry-Peach Salsa
You can make the salsa separately and serve with pork or with a white fish like halibut.
Serves: 4; Prep Time: 22 minutes; Cook Time: 6 to 8 minutes

Preheat grill or broiler. Zest lemon to make about 1 teaspoon; set aside.
