Maybe this is my midlife crisis (I'm 35), but I am finding that it is very hard to find any pleasure in life. I love spending time with my kids, but as they're getting older, they want less to do with me and more with their friends. So, I need to find things for me.

Tne reason for the decline of newspaper circulation is that 42 million Americans are illiterate and roughly 50 million more are semi-literate, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Christopher Hedges says. What’s more, he adds, 80 percent of U.S. households last year did not buy a book.

Plot:
Nine is a musical with a book by Arthur Kopit and music and lyrics by Maury Yeston. The story is based on an Italian play by Mario Fratti inspired by Federico Fellini's autobiographical film 8½. It focuses on film director Guido Contini, savoring his most recent (and greatest) success but facing his fortieth birthday and a midlife crisis blocking his creative impulses and entangling him in a web of romantic difficulties in early-1960s Venice.
