I've already confessed my love for mood-boosting sites and sites that deliver daily doses of awesomeness, so it's natural that I'm loving this site from the UK, Learn Something Every Day.
Each day features a new fun fact illustrated on a bright background. For example: "The film Titanic cost more than the Titanic itself," and, "Penguins are able to jump two meters high."

For years now, I've wanted to be fluent in spoken and written French. I'm mostly self taught, from The Everything Learning French Book, to an audio cd, to at least 4 basic exercise work books. The problem is, I have no one to talk to in the language, and when spontaneously prompted to speak, I probably would blurt out "Je ne comprands pas".

Yeah, yeah
Have you heard the news today?
People right across the world,
Are pledging they will play the game,
Victims of a modern world,
Circumstance has brought us here,
Armageddon's come too near,
Too, too near, now
Foresight is the only key
To save our children's destiny,
The consequences are so grave
So, so grave, now
The hypocrites we are their slaves.
So my friends to stop the end
On each other we depend,
Oh we depend.
