Suppose they gave a divorce and no one came? Think about this for a minute....what would happen if "everyone mattered?"
What would happen if family court litigants worked out their custody issues before hand; signed a stipulation as to custody which judges would have to agree as they'd hadn't filed and flung accusations; and then left only the financial determinations to the court? What if the court was the last stop, instead of the first?
Gradually, the person who filed first, rather than work it out....or who emptied the bank account would be seen differently.

The Women's Gymastics All Around judging is definitely starting to go south.

The UK Telegraph has excerpts from the judge’s ruling on the Mills-McCartney divorce, and it’s a damn good read. The Judge outlines the way that Heather lied about her financial situation before she met Paul, blamed him for not supporting and advancing her career when the opposite was true, and generally said she was exaggerating and fibbing throughout. The judge also made it clear that Heather’s behavior in court, in which he caught her out in several lies, influenced the final amount of the settlement she was given.

This is a hard one to overcome. What is judging and what is helping? That is something I think we all can say something about.

The top five American Idol contestants had two songs each last night and since time was tight the judges were told to quickly comment to each singer after they all had a chance to perform their first song. Randy, Paula and Simon were supposed to give critiques based on their notes. Randy quickly gave his standard “it was just OK for me” and went down the line.
