Sacha Baron Cohen’s Bruno gets a release date!
Sacha Baron Cohen’s Bruno, the follow-up to his massively successful Borat movie, is to be released by Universal on May 15th, 2009. It is thought that Angels and Demons, the mystery drama starring Tom Hanks, would be the only movie to present Bruno with any serious competition in such a release slot, reports Reuters. Bruno will follow the exploits of gay Austrian fashion journalist, a character that was taken from Baron Cohen’s former HBO series, Da Ali G Show.Baron Cohen’s character Bruno causes security scare at Wichita Airport
WENN is reporting that security at a Wichita, Kansas airport was put on “red alert” when a “European man” was “[stripped] down to tight shorts and [danced] in the lobby of Wichita Airport.”
Baron Cohen is filming a movie as his flaming Austrian TV personality Bruno, and the Wichita locals didn’t take kindly to his half-dressed invasion of the airport. They also had no idea who he is. I found the original story about this on Kansas.com, and there’s no mention of Baron Cohen or Bruno, so it’s safe to say that more people are fooled by this character than his better-known Kazakh incarnation, Borat:

The Vatican's top astronomer says that ET 'could exist'
ET could exist, but there is no hard evidence he does, the Vatican's top astronomer declared at the end of a Vatican conference on extraterrestrial life.
Father Jose Gabriel Funes, who led the week-long conference on astrobiology, said that extraterrestrial life was a valid area of investigation for the Catholic Church.
Father Funes said: 'Although astrobiology is a new and developing field, questions on the origins of life and the presence of life in the universe outside Earth are legitimate issues and merit serious consideration.
