NEVER ARGUE WITH A WOMAN
One morning, the husband returns the boat to their lakeside cottage after several hours of fishing and decides to take a nap. Although not familiar with the lake, the wife decides to take the boat out. She motors out a short distance, anchors, puts her feet up, and begins to read her book.

A couple of years ago, I spent thanksgiving at a friend's house. Everything was great, her mother had worked all day to make the perfect Thanksgiving dinner, turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, homemade biscuits, and all the other classics. We all sat down to eat and some of my friend's siblings were arguing incessantly.

The massacre at Fort Hood last week is the perfect apotheosis of the liberal victimology described in my book "Guilty: Liberal 'Victims' and Their Assault on America." According to witnesses, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan entered a medical facility at Fort Hood, prayed briefly, then shouted "Allahu akbar" before he began gunning down American troops. Now I don't know which to be more afraid of: Muslims or government-run health care systems.

- Plans to start a women-only holiday service
- Wanted exemption to Equal Opportunity Act
- Judge refuses, say it is not necessary
A SINGLE-sex travel company for women who want to avoid boozy, bed-hopping mixed tour groups has been grounded.
A judge ruled yesterday that former tour guide Erin Maitland cannot advertise women-only holidays because it could breach the human rights of men.
Judge Marilyn Harbison refused to grant Ms Maitland an exemption to the Equal Opportunity Act, ruling that she had not proved it was reasonable or necessary, the Herald Sun reports.
"The exemption may well be convenient and practical in the establishment of her business, but it cannot be justified on human rights principles," said the vice-president of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
In her evidence to VCAT Ms Maitland said she wanted to set up Travel Sisters after hearing stories from her friends who would not travel in mixed tour groups because of "drinking and bed-hopping".

President Obama toured the historic Forbidden City in Beijing on Tuesday during a break from meetings with Chinese leaders.

BEIJING — In six hours of meetings, at two dinners and during a stilted 30-minute news conference in which President Hu Jintao did not allow questions, President Obama was confronted, on his first visit, with a fast-rising China more willing to say no to the United States.
On topics like Iran (Mr.

"Repent," the preacher cried out, startling those who heard him.
This was no street evangelist ranting at the passing crowd, but the archbishop of Canterbury, head of the Church of England. His sharp admonition was pointed directly at a particular set of sinners, who undoubtedly had never given any thought to the morality of their actions: the barons of global banking.

My boyfriend and I broke up a few days before Christmas, after 8.5 months of dating. We had been arguing, and he said he didn't see a future for us. So it should be as simple as that, right?

I've been with my boyfriend for almost 2 1/2 years. I'll be the first to admit that the second year was extremely rocky - I was depressed and had a lot of anxiety over my new job. In order to get a better grasp on my life, my sanity and my relationship, I started going to therapy.

I've been with my "for the most part" wonderful boyfriend for two years, and we've been living together for the past 9 months. The problem is, when he does something that upsets me, and I try to bring it up (sometimes nicely, sometimes with anger - it depends on what he did!), he gets very defensive and won't listen to what I'm saying.
He blocks all arguments with unbreakable and often obnoxious statements ("you're just hormonal", "you're lying", "I'm always right") and he gets very angry when I continue to try and explain.
