I'm a pleasure seeker, shoppin' for a new distraction
I'm a pleasure seeker, lookin' for some platinum action
I'm a pleasure seeker, movin' to the music
I'm a pleasure seeker, lookin' for the real thing
Chandalabra's in a wonderbra
Chris barn runway, a real draw
Faster pussycat, thrill, thrill
I'm at the mall on a diet pill
Oh, broke my heart at the funplex
Yes you did, yes you did
Oh, broke my heart at the funplex,
Yes you did, yes you did
The taco tiki hut is where we're all gonna meet
Underneath the chandelier at the ATM machine
Oh honey, is it all about money?
Hey Lady
What?
What lady?

I'm back! At least for the moment and until work viciously drags me under again. Sorry I haven't been on much lately, but hopefully that will change now that things appear to be a little more relaxed around here.

I've decided that whenever I hear an 80's song on my ipod shuffle today, I'm going to post that song! So here's my first one.
Yet another bouncy, good for dancing by yourself in your cubicle (or wherever) song!

The Police are no more.
Thursday night's Madison Square Garden performance was the final show of the band's reunion tour – and, appropriately enough, New York's finest were onstage too.
Wearing a NYPD hat and badge, Sting rocked out on his battered bass guitar while members of the New York City Police Department Band played backup for the trio.

Here are some funny quotations from certain people and Army hand books. Funny :)
"Aim towards the Enemy."
- Instruction printed on US Rocket Launcher
"When the pin is pulled, Mr. Grenade is not our friend."

Lately, my husband and I have been watching VH1's take on the 100 Greatest Songs of the 1990's and enjoying reminiscing and being reminded of songs that we had forgotten (or just hadn't heard in a long time!)
And, of course, that got me thinking: Has VH1 put together a top 100 list for the 1980's? They certainly had and I've spent today perusing it and constantly going, "I forgot about that one!"
So, do you agree with the choices for the 100 Greatest Songs of the 1980's?

I can't ever seem to get my day started correctly until I find a good stretch of music to listen to while I do my work. It took a while this morning, perusing the list of shows on East Village Radio from over the weekend, but Colleen Crumbcake's got a good one from Saturday morning. Now I can get some work done.

This song reminds me of my senior year in High School. A great B52s song, great video, and Michael Stipe has a glimpse of a cameo towards the end of the video.

Kicking it off with some Amy Winehouse (I don't care how troubled the broad is - she's brilliant musically), Holly Golightly, Johnny Cash, Opal... We've got The Smiths, The Breeders, Tears for Fears... and the greatness goes on.
