I am trying to prepare for my final exams at University right now along with a million other things, like family problems, my fiance feeling neglected, and a wedding to go to this weekend that I can't miss! I have zero dollars for Christmas presents for my family and my fiance, it makes me feel so sad that I can't get people gifts. School is the biggest stressor for me right now, and my parents (who are divorced) seem to have little understanding about how stressed I am.

An excerpt from Living a Five Star Life
by Betty Mahalik
A friend of mine, who has a far greener thumb than I, recently took me on a tour of her backyard in the desert Southwest. She pointed out all the varieties of trees, shrubs and grasses she has planted, but one plant in particular caught my attention. She pointed to a shrub with small dark red blossoms on it, and told me that if you give the plant too much water it doesn't bloom.

Since I've gained 7 pounds in 2 months and my eating habits and gym regimen hasn't changed, I'm convinced that it's due to stress. My doctor also suggested that it's most likely the cause of the weight gain.
I took it upon myself to read up on how stress effects weight gain, and found some interesting information.

can imagine few things more stress-inducing than being connected to Amy Winehouse in any way, shape, or form. Just owning one of her CDs raises my blood pressure significantly. So imagine what it would be like to be Amy’s poor father Mitch.

There are countless reasons that reducing stress is critical for good health. When you’re stressed you’re much more susceptible to illness, and high stress over an extended period of time has been proved to spur ailments like heart disease, high blood pressure, migraines, muscle tension, insomnia, and ulcers. If we’re not ill, we’re definitely irritable, snappy, agitated, and not much fun to be around.

Psalm 31:24
Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.
Psalm 55:22
Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.

So I have started to learn that when I am busy and stressed about my weight and things I do not blog. Which of course is silly because thats when I should if not for anything more than letting it out and moving on.
I had my Birthday a couple of days ago (and the end of my summer class, thank goodness!) and it was GREAT!
