From the blog "Suzy B":
An Ohio woman is suing Planned Parenthood for covering up her sexual assault. According to the suit, the girl was sexual abused by her father and brought to the Mount Auburn abortion clinic when he impregnated her. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports:
"The suit accused Planned Parenthood and five of its employees of ignoring obvious signs of suspected sexual abuse instead of reporting them as Ohio law requires. When questioned by Planned Parenthood employees, the girl told them 'that she had been forced to do things that she did not want to do,' the suit alleges.

No matter what you think about Planned Parenthood's line of business, this is unconscionable.
Also, it discredits much of their "good" work.

Hi sugers,
I have a terrible past and am comtemplating taking some of my past abusers to the police.
When I was 16 I was sexually abused by two guys, my dad sent me away and took it to the school committee and brushed it under the carpet. I am still haunted to this day- as a result I have bipolar disorder and post trauma stress.

If there is one thing that is innate to the functioning of a democratic society, it is that every person is legally equal under the law. It is also why Islamic Law or Sharia, is incompatible with a democratic society, because Islamic law presumes the inequality of everyone who is not a Muslim male as a given.
There can be no middle ground of compromise between Islamic law and civil law, because Sharia is not legal, it is religious.

A Florida woman, who is a victim of sexual abuse, claims that rape was called a "pre-existing condition" by several health insurance companies, which would have disqualified her for care.
In 2002, Chris Turner, a health insurance agent from Tampa, Florida, was drugged and raped during a business trip. When she conferred with a doctor after her assault, Turner was prescribed preventative anti-HIV drugs, and she later entered counseling to help deal with the residual psychological effects of her rape.
