I am a divorced 50 year old woman... my ex-husband gave me this STD....he had been unfaithful during our marriage and besides finding out about the affairs, once we separated, filed for divorce, this was devastating news to find out I have been infected with this...I believed I was in a monogamus marriage.
My question: When is it appropriate to discuss the fact that I have Herpes....how do I bring it up????

Now that you are getting married, you might find that your birth control needs are changing. Since you are in a monogamous relationship, you don't have to worry about contracting an STI, so birth control methods that weren't an option before may suddenly be perfect for you. Plus, you may want to think about more suitable options depending on whether or not you are planning on having kids.
