The Nation

The Nation -- As someone who has been close to Russia's leading opposition newspaper "Novaya Gazeta" for many years, it's a very important development that Russian President Dmitrii Medvedev gave his first print interview to that paper and its brave editor-in-chief Dmitrii Muratov. The interview, which took place a few days ago in the Kremlin and was published Wednesday, gives the paper much needed protection at a time when the economic and human rights situation in Russia is worsening. (Until now, the paper's main protection derived from the fact that former Russian leader Mikhail Gorbachev is a part-owner.)
Not only is Medvevev's interview an important step for "Novaya,"but it may also tell us something significant about Russia's still-new President Medvedev.

Hard to believe but, Jermaine Jackson reportedly told the Australian Associated Press yesterday that the Jackson 5 will be reuniting and are already in the studio rehearsing. Jackson is in Australia to help launch a new “greatest hits” TV channel and confirmed the rumors at the event.
He says the brothers, yes including Michael, are going to go on a world tour next year and that Janet will be their opening act.

I just read about these press on eyeshadows at BeautySnob.Com. Apparently this company, called Color on Professional has made these "stickers" that when applied to your eye, set a complete eye look. Some of the looks are wacky - animal prints and stuff.

read People’s report of the press conference featuring the latest nanny to file a civil suit against Rob and Sheryl Lowe, and came away with some hope that this case might get interesting. People makes it seem as if the alleged victim comes across as believable, saying that Boyce “trembled and nearly hyperventilated” throughout the press conference.
Then I saw a clip on TMZ, and like Allred’s appearance with the first nanny on The Today Show, she ran the whole show and managed to make it seem like it was her idea to file the suit.

QUESTION: About a month or two ago, there was an IG report that warned that Blackwater was likely going to lose its license to operate in Iraq. That has now happened. Considering that you guys have been aware of this impending decision for some time, I presume that contingency plans have been made.

They say there's no such thing as bad publicity. Madonna is reportedly "loving" all the recent attention she's been getting about her alleged affair with Alex Rodriguez. In fact, she loves the attention so much, she's planning on adding fuel to the fire soon.
