I don’t mean to sound disrespectful. I know this man changed things within the music industry and opened a lot of doors for upcoming African American artist everywhere, and that's a good thing. But I will be sooooo glad when tomorrow comes and goes, as you know Michael's funeral is happening.

First off, I knew this remake wasn’t going to be a masterpiece, most things Michael Bay and his minions turn out I usually don’t love. I really, really wanted to like this, because I’m thinking it’s a new Jason movie how bad can it be? Well, I got my answer, because it wasn’t bad, it was just blah.

I read about this site in RealSimple magazine a few months ago, and I went to check it out yesterday. It's a site meant to help you be active throughout the day - it pops up on your computer every 30 minutes and leads you through a 3-minute workout. Apparently it's based on martial arts - one of the comments on the site said it was like Tai Chi on fast-forward, so there's no jumping or anything high-impact but it does get your heart rate up.

For a very long time, I worried that we would never again get to hear anything new from one of my favorite bands, Portishead. Then, a couple of years ago there was some subtle activity on the band's myspace page. News of underground secret shows and leaked music started to pop up here and there.

After watching the new Twilight trailer, we’re feeling pretty giddy and want more of that 22-year-old foxy vampire/reluctant musician Robert Pattinson. So we were disheartened to realize we had to go back to MTV's VMAs just to find a picture.
With his movie coming out in just over a month, he should be out brunching at Toast (the Ivy would be too desperate) and maybe popping up on a random red carpet every now and then.
