Subject: An e-mail from Ireland
An email from Ireland to all of our brethren in the States...a point to
ponder despite your political affiliation:
'We ,in Ireland, can't figure out why you people are even bothering to
hold an election in the United States
On one side, you had a pants-wearing female lawyer, married to another
lawyer who can't seem to keep his pants on, who just lost a long and
heated primary against a lawyer, who goes to the wrong church, who is
married to yet another lawyer who doesn't even like the country her
husband wants to run!
Now...On the other side, you have a nice old war hero whose name starts
with the appropriate 'Mc' terminology, married to a good looking
younger woman who owns a beer distributorship!!
What in God's name are ye lads thinkin' over in the colonies?

COURTROOM DRAMA
These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, statements people actually said in court, published by court reporters who had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place.

Humor is one of those things that is totally subjective and completely open for debate. A lot of people think that in order for something to be truly funny, it has to be risky or offensive. And while I don’t agree with that, safe humor is never quite as good as the jokes that walk a much finer line.

It's been a while since noted feminist author Camille Paglia opined on the presidential race, but Hillary Clinton's remarks on last night's 60 Minutes provoked her to comment.
Here, in the first excerpt of Usmagazine.com's exclusive interview with Paglia, she says Clinton is "just too damn clever for her own good."
When Clinton was asked if she believes the lies that Barack Obama is a Muslim (the Drudge Report has accused her of circulating the lie), she responded, "Of course not.

BOSTON - The elegant iron-railing balconies were once catwalks where guards stood watch over the inmates to make sure they didn't try to break out. If you look closely, you can still see the outline of the holes from the iron bars on the windows.
At the newly opened Liberty Hotel, it's hard to escape what this building once was: a decrepit jail where Boston locked up its most notorious prisoners.
