The Koran, the holiest book of the Islamic faith, often comes up when the subject turns to terrorism.
But does the public, or even our highest elected officials, for that matter, understand what’s in the text itself? And, more importantly, any connections between radical Islam and the Koran? The Complete Infidel’s Guide to the Koran by Robert Spencer helps decode and decipher the holy text in a way that’s both illuminating and hard to ignore.

The massacre at Fort Hood last week is the perfect apotheosis of the liberal victimology described in my book "Guilty: Liberal 'Victims' and Their Assault on America." According to witnesses, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan entered a medical facility at Fort Hood, prayed briefly, then shouted "Allahu akbar" before he began gunning down American troops. Now I don't know which to be more afraid of: Muslims or government-run health care systems.

If there is one thing that is innate to the functioning of a democratic society, it is that every person is legally equal under the law. It is also why Islamic Law or Sharia, is incompatible with a democratic society, because Islamic law presumes the inequality of everyone who is not a Muslim male as a given.
There can be no middle ground of compromise between Islamic law and civil law, because Sharia is not legal, it is religious.

My boyfriend and I are getting married. We have talked marriage before, as we have been together for six years, and we're finding out how difficult hammering out the details can be. We come from two complicated families.

Fort Hood Massacre: A Day of Courage and Cowardice
A self-described "devout Muslim" who praised suicide bombers opens fire on brave American soldiers — and most people in the mainstream media insist there is no sign of terror.
November 6, 2009 - by Bruce Bawer
The brave soldiers who were massacred at Fort Hood had trained to fight the jihadist enemy abroad. But they seem to have ended up being murdered by the same enemy on American soil, in a place where they thought they were safe — murdered, apparently, because a series of military and medical officials recognized what was going on with this major and chose to do nothing about it.

Hey Everyone - The subject of this week's "This American Life" program (NPR out of Chicago, but available nationally) is infidelity. Since cheating has been such a frequent topic in Group Therapy lately, I thought I'd post the feed for anyone who cares to listen online. It's a very interesting program, done the way only TAL can do it - enjoy.
