Dr. Laura Sadowski knows how homeless people can be treated by hospitals. She's seen the occasional taxicabs from another hospital drop off homeless patients at the door to the nearby teaching hospital where she works.

Homeless people cannot be denied the right to vote because the grate they sleep on doesn't have an address, a federal magistrate has ruled.
Edmund Sargus, a U.S. District Court judge for southern Ohio, on Monday ordered
Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner not to reject provisional ballots that fail to list a building address on a provisional voting envelope.

19-year-old Agnes Saint Preux wipes away tears thinking about what will happen to her family come June. The mother of two will have to leave her apartment because her brother is moving out and the $892 a month she receives from the state won't cover the rent.
"It's just really hard and stressful and I've like wanted to give up so many times and it's just been hard," said Saint Preux.

Fergie says in an interview with Marie Claire that back in her meth days, she was once mistaken for a homeless person, and that she was constantly paranoid she was being followed by the FBI. She says someone took pity on her and offered her a muffin.
Fergie says, "I had about 20 different conspiracy theories.

So, I was born in California. When I was little, my parents moved to Chicago. I lived in 4 or 5 different places in the Chicago metro groiwng up and went to 2 different school districts by the time I was in 8th grade.

This is more than a problem then you might think. Teens are leaving home because of abuse, parents kicked them out because their daughter got pregnant, parents actually move out while their child is at school and they come home to an empty house, the stories are endless.

SEATTLE - As snowstorms blew into this Northwest city and the economy iced over in December, the occupants of a shelter nestled among industrial buildings on the north side prayed for divine intervention.
“We were hoping for the Christmas miracle,” says Glen Dennis, 41, who was working his way through a residential drug-treatment program at the CityTeam Ministries shelter. Dennis and the other 11 guys in the long-term program —dubbed the “disciples” — also worked each day to prepare for some 50 to 60 overnight shelter guests, and dish up free hot meals to about 100 people.

Many fans of Colin Farrell are captivated by his rugged good looks, but some may not know that his best attribute is his HUGE heart!
Colin showed his kind heart to a Toronto homeless man Tuesday by taking him on a shopping spree. Colin apparently first met this homeless man while shooting "A Home at the End of the World" in Toronto a few years ago.

Most of my life I've often wondered why Thanksgiving seemed to be for many families a trigger word for family dysfuction. Why individuals couldn't just let that disagreement with another family member go for one bloody day and enjoy some good food and conversation with more pleasant family members. I have to keep reminding my self that I'm pragmatic by nature and that is apparently unusual.
