Politicians can be ruthless! Russian outgoing President Vladimir Putin is reportedly planning to leave his wife of 25 years for a former Olympic gymnast and once-time actress and model half his age.
The 56-year-old president allegedly secretly divorced his 50-year-old wife Ludmilla, mother of his two daughters, two months ago so he would be free to marry nubile gold medal-winning rythmic gymnast and one-time model Alina Kabaeva, 24.

I read this really interesting column by Dan Wetzel over on Yahoo! Sports (yes, I read sports news regularly!) about how many are calling out the Chinese for cheating by saying their girls on the gymnastics team are 16 when in actuality they're probably 14.
Here are some very hilarious and interesting quotes from the column.

They both have medals from the 2008 Beijing Olympics and now they a contract with Cover Girl. They signed the contract with Cover Girl a few months before the olympics started. The makeup looks they were sporting while preforming were actually custom made for them but I was to busy watching them fly through the air to take notice of that.

This is a song that I like A LOT, but because of the video I really hesitate to put it in the "Song of the day" group, because it would fit more perfectly in the "I hate hoochies (http://teamsugar.com/group/769915)" group!!! Who says old folks don't have interest in any social network like Twitter? And who says Twitter is just for teenagers?
Recently I've read a news in CNN where an active Twitter user named Ivy Bean from Bradford, United Kingdom will celebrate her 104th brithday today.

Whether it's the story of Lance Armstrong, a team down by 3 games in the play offs and comes back to win, Susan Boyle, or Mr. President himself we all love the story of an underdog. That unnoticed, forgotten or maybe taken for granted individual(s) that rises above our expectations or those who suffer serious set back only to come back and slap us up side the head with the human spirit to say hey I'm still in the game. The stories that make us re-think the boundaries of expectation we place on our selves and inspire us to be just a little braver and a little greater than we thought we could be.
