Sometimes new and shiny, sometimes old and comfy, shoes have been a symbolic and staple item in songwriting for decades. Think about it: Shoes are something that just about everyone on the planet can relate to all while meaning something a bit different to each individual. Fancy shoes, comfy shoes, old shoes, new shoes, dancing shoes- shoes can change an attitude and define a generation.
