This article highlights three Superfund (hazardous waste) sites in NJ. One of the sites mentioned, the Lipari Superfund site, is where I currently work as a Safety Officer. In 1982, when it was listed on the National Priorities List (which racks the severity of these sites), it was ranked #1 WORST in NJ, and #3 WORST in the US.

I really want two of these wee piggies. I will name one bacon and the other sausage. ;)

The pets, which grow to be just 14in tall, have become so popular that they are now almost impossible to get hold of in Britain.

Just as the left pioneered "AstroTurf" protesters -- homeless people lured to demonstrations with the offer of a free T-shirt and a box lunch -- liberals have also specialized in producing fake "insiders" denouncing their alleged group.
There were the "winter soldiers" -- fake Vietnam veterans claiming to have personally disemboweled babies in Vietnam. It took 30 years and the publication of the book "Stolen Valor" to establish that the bulk of them were utter frauds who had never seen combat -- some had never seen Vietnam.

But this is sick. Why would they make it easier for students to have babies? They should not be rewarded for having a baby in high school.

This information is courtes of NJ101.5. Yes, it's specific to New Jersey, but it serves as a lesson to others.... People can get ripped off while "filling up at the pump":

During the same week Jamie Lynn Spears, 17, gave birth to daughter Maddie, Time magazine reported that 17 high school students - all under the age of 16-years-old - in Gloucester Massachusetts, were pregnant after making a pact to have babies together.
"Some girls seemed more upset when they weren't pregnant than when they were," Gloucester High School principal Joseph Sullivan revealed to Time.
(Gloucester Mayor Carolyn Kirk told the Boston Herald, "The information from the principal has not been verified by any other source.”)
Many media outlets have since dubbed the rash of teen pregnancies the "Juno Effect," referencing the Oscar nominated film starring Ellen Page and Bateman.
