Forget the Smart Grid, We Need Smart Spending (On the Grid)
The stimulus bill has sought to weatherize homes, expand broadband's reach and fix our energy infrastructure. For this last urgent goal, some $4.5 billion of the stimulus bill is slated for projects related to a smart grid. But before we start spending, the terminology needs refining.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall - YAHOO REVIEW
Hubby and I saw it last night and it was HILARIOUS! There are a few full frontals by Jason Segel so if you're not down with peen on your screen, maybe it is not for you. However those scenes were cute not nasty at all.

I had no intention of seeing this movie. I kind of figured that, after Superbad (which I found very disappointing), the Judd Apatow train was running out of steam. But last night, my friend Eric came to town and he asked me to go with him to see the movie.

Forget the supernatural: In Kristen Stewart's next project, the New Moon star is taking a deeply human turn, playing a troubled teenager in the indie flick The Yellow Handkerchief, due in theaters in February. Costarring William Hurt, Mario Bello and Eddie Redmayne, the movie explores the relationships between three strangers who embark on a road trip through post-Katrina Louisiana. Stewart plays Martine, a teen who hopes to escape her family, while Hurt plays Brett Hanson, a man who has to choose between his ex-wife (played by Bello) or what's next."The part of Kristen in Twilight is completely different from the one she plays in The Yellow Handkerchief, which is particularly interesting for Kristen's fans all over the world," says the film's Oscar winning producer Arthur Cohn.

With Cameron gone, the new (old) team is still working out the kinks in this week's House — and it feels like the writers aren't sure where the show's going either. The episode tackles a genius patient with what appears to be TTP, Thanksgiving, and House and Cuddy all in one swoop. And while the doc is back to acting like a selfish jerk following his recent good behavior, I didn't even find his quips that amusing.

Well, I have (had) been dating Mr. Take it Slow for about a month. He wanted to take it slow b/c he just got out of a LTR a few months ago. The last time we went out, things got physical (not all the way, though). I did hear from him the next day, but nothing but FB posts for 2 weeks after that. Finally last night he emailed me:
"I just wanted to write you a message to let you know what's going on. I've been kinda quiet because I just don't know what's going on with me. I don't want to lead you on, but I don't want to write you off either. The problem is, I think I'm just not over my ex-gf.

What I find interesting about this is both how much has changed AND how much hasn't.
The Letter:

President Lyndon B Johnson
The White House

Dear Mr. President:
In this time of mourning and appreciating how very busy you are, I still must write about existing conditions here in East Texas, even if you are too busy to read this, because I feel it is my duty to do so.
