I ask this because about two nights ago, I had a dream I was a restaurant owner (I won't tell you what kind because I'm really passionate about it and you never know... I may open one!) and while I owned the restaurant and my current boyfriend managed it—it made me the breadwinner which made him work for me.
So, I started to think about it...

When I snapped out of my left wing trance last year, I was lost in space. I had no conservative friends and was clueless about web sites and books.
I had heard something vaguely about Talk Radio. So I scanned my AM dial and found Michael Savage. (It took several months, and a chat with a rather bemused new friend, before I even realized there were other hosts as well.)
Being a lifelong liberal, I'd never heard anybody like Savage in my life. He yelled; he called people "vermin." He was unbridled masculinity, not the touchy feeling kind I was used to. And he totally accepted himself: his moods, passion, temper.
But what shocked me the most was his saying that men have become "feminized." I'd never been so offended. "Well, what's wrong with men being more feminine?" I shouted back at my radio. "Is there something wrong with femininity?" Men being way more in touch with their yin and less with their yang sounded good to me.

This is an interview Lesley Stahl did with NY Times columnist Gail Collins... I think it's an interesting history lesson.
LESLEY: So, Gail Collins, thank you very much for joining us today to talk about your new book When Everything Changed: The Amazing Journey of American Women from 1960 to the Present, which I have to say I loved and read and learned, because it’s about really the Women’s Movement from 1960 to today, which I obviously lived through; but there’s so much I didn’t know.

At lunch today I was browsing through the D.C. Examiner and came across this wonderful op-ed about how Sarah Palin is showing the country (and especially young girls) a new model of feminism. The writer, Meghan Cox Gurdon (and I) welcome this new form of feminism and describe the stark differences between the model of the 70s.

Usually I'm not one for dress with odd layers or lines; however I think this dress is very femine and interesting without having to use out-there colors. While the style isn't for everyone, I find the dress to be beautiful in a fun and girly. What is your opinion?

I adore this outfit! It's very femine and bold; love the pink sequins w/ a navy pinstripe pant. What's your opinion?

Fall 2007 - Hilary Rhoda - Ready-to-Wear Carolina Herrera
This look is so gorgeous for the winter. White-gold is an eye catching alternative to soft white shadow; light pink lips give the look a soft and femine feel. I love the contrast between Hilary Rhoda's strong dark brown brows and her light blue eyes.

I am trying to find a way to feminize this plaid shirt. I like it a lot but I want to find different ways to wear it. My boyfriend likes this look...what about you?

As it happens, I've only read (skimmed) the first book of the series so most of these points are not my own. At the end of this post I'll give you a link to my sources. I've read some pretty interesting articles about whether Edward Cullen is an abusive boyfriend or the perfect boyfriend.
