Robert Downey Jr. blames his role in 1980s cult film Less Than Zero for fueling his drug addiction.
The 43-year-old insists he only took drugs recreationally before he was cast as a cocaine addict in the 1987 film based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis.
Soon after completing the movie, Downey Jr’s substance abuse worsened and he was jailed at California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison, Corcoran for a year for missing mandatory court-imposed drug tests.

Amy Winehouse is showing the first steps at trying to get healthy. She tells her friends that she wants to volunteer at rehab centers to counsel people with drug problems.
One of her friends, who has emphysema, says that Amy feels so good about herself that she wants to make a difference and give back to people who are battling addictions.

Black Eyed Peas and solo singer Fergie has admitted that she still works hard at staying free of drugs and regularly takes treatment.
The R&B star struggled with ecstasy and crystal methamphetamines during her youth. Although she is now drug-free, the 32-year-old still undergoes therapy.

PORTSMOUTH — When Christopher Duhan kicked open the back door of a Seabrook residence to commit a Monday afternoon burglary, he was met by the lady of the house who chased him off with her handgun, according to police.
Duhan, 28, of 147 Ashworth Ave., Hampton Beach, was arraigned Tuesday in Portsmouth District Court on a felony count of burglary. According to an affidavit by officer Scott Mendes, Seabrook patrol officers were dispatched to a B Street residence at 12:30 p.m.

I met my former best friend back in the fall of 2006. We hit it off instantly and she quickly became someone who proved over and over that I could trust her. We had a great time together and were very close.
