Can Mendenhall make a repeat performance against the Lions? The Steelers, who hasn’t played a road game against Detroit since a 19-16 overtime loss on Nov. 26, 1998 has back to Ford Field for the first time since winning Super Bowl more than three years ago. Pittsburgh is looking for a repeat performance from second-year back Rashard Mendenhall who lift Steelers on a 38-28 victory over San Diego last Sunday.

Originally from Detroit, Kristen Bell is a huge Detroit Red Wings fan who recently starred in the romantic comedy, “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” opposite Jason Segel, Jonah Hill and Paul Rudd. For three seasons, Bell starred in the title role of the CW series “Veronica Mars” and her current projects include the Disney Studios film “When in Rome” and NBC’s hit series, “Heroes”. Bell attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and currently lives in Los Angeles.

Detroit, Michigan rap stars Eminem and Kid Rock have been challenged to a freestyle rap battle, which could pocket their chosen charities $1m.
The offer/publicity comes from the producers of new movie Rap Therapy, which chronicles one Detroit social worker’s efforts to use hip hop to help steer troubled teens away from gangbanging, drugs and violence. The documentary Rap Therapy features footage of 50 Cent, Diddy, Anne Hathaway, Fergie and Tom Cruise (interesting), talking about the benefits of hip-hop as a tool for kids involved in gang violence and abuse.

DETROIT - In another blow to the Motor City's tarnished image, Detroit pushed past St. Louis to become the nation's most dangerous city, according to a private research group's controversial analysis, released Sunday, of annual FBI crime statistics.
The study drew harsh criticism even before it came out.
