In honor of Reading Is Sexy's grand opening, I'm going to start off with the series that's has been holding me in a chockhold for going on 10 years now.
Nora Roberts, writing as JD Robb in her not so far distant future has captured my attention since my very good friend lend me a copy of the 1st of the series, Naked In Death. That copy started me on my 10 year journey of hunting and gathering mission to find and read every one of the books in the series.

When the world was new, Old Man and Old Woman were walking around. "Let us decide how things will be," Old Man said.
"That is good," said Old Woman.

Do they not understand the concept of paper trails???
http://swampland.blogs.time.com/2009/08/13/oh-those-death-panels/
You would think that if Republicans wanted to totally mischaracterize a health care provision and demagogue it like nobody's business, they would at least pick something that the vast majority of them hadn't already voted for just a few years earlier. Because that's not just shameless, it's stupid.

Without editorial comment from me, here is the Daily Show's interview with Betsy McCaughey, a major force behind the 'death panel' claims:

This is a re-post of my original article with a few modification...you may find the original in my forum: Stand Up 4 Veterans
Yesterday our country spend a lot of time and effort mourning the life of a celebrity...a celebrity which the media constantly changed its view...seeing him as much a villain as a philanthropist and entertainer. Because of the tremendous focus on this individual a controversy arose--comparing the price of this person's life to that of a soldier. This is my reply to such thoughts...

Re-post of my original article.
Mourning those who stood bravely and gave their lives for our freedom and liberty is not something which is merely reserved for Veteran's Day every year. They are mourned daily when we are faced with that empty place setting at our tables each day.

Mourning those who stood bravely and gave their lives for our freedom and liberty is not something which is merely reserved for Veteran's Day every year. They are mourned daily when we are faced with that empty place setting at our tables each day. They are mourned every time we vote, sing our anthem, and pledge our Allegiance to our flag.

Sometimes there are two pics matching and this is one of those examples...
This interpretation of Death is fascinating - the huge WHITE wings - normally Death is black - so i felt so drawn to place him - give him a new home - on the first picture he is in the sky and on the other one he looks as if he was waiting...
BTW: when cutting off the other background i found out that Death is rather slim ;)
up to you which interpretation you like better :)

I don’t mean to sound disrespectful. I know this man changed things within the music industry and opened a lot of doors for upcoming African American artist everywhere, and that's a good thing. But I will be sooooo glad when tomorrow comes and goes, as you know Michael's funeral is happening.
