An essay in this week's New York Times hit close to home. The author, mourning the breakup of a long-term relationship, used Facebook to keep up with what his ex was doing. I've covered this topic before in Tech Dating 101 posts; from using Facebook to get to know a potential date to how and when to change your relationship status.

Well, I have (had) been dating Mr. Take it Slow for about a month. He wanted to take it slow b/c he just got out of a LTR a few months ago. The last time we went out, things got physical (not all the way, though). I did hear from him the next day, but nothing but FB posts for 2 weeks after that. Finally last night he emailed me:
"I just wanted to write you a message to let you know what's going on. I've been kinda quiet because I just don't know what's going on with me. I don't want to lead you on, but I don't want to write you off either. The problem is, I think I'm just not over my ex-gf.

Just like everyone else, we’re obsessed with all things Twilight. So imagine our delight when we get to jet over to Vancouver, Canada, to watch the sequel being shot for ourselves! Here are all the behind-the-scenes secrets from the New Moon set (plus a few topless shots of the guys – well, we couldn’t resist)
1 During filming, Kristen was very serious about watching her scenes being played back.

I'm stuck in a silly predicament. I have two great guys persuing me and I'm not sure which way to go.
Boy # 1 is a year younger than me. He has been a friend of mine through high school and has just come out of a relationship that ended badly 4 months ago.. (ie his ex slept around with some of his best friends the day after they broke up) I don't want to date anyone who is still getting over another girl, I don't deserve that.

One of the benefits of of digital technology is that every email, text, and voicemail is easily saved, stored, and relived. It's helpful when you're dating someone — I think it's both fun and cute to reread old messages. (Though I suppose this can get dicey when trying to cut your ex out of your digital life, but that's a topic for another day).

So, Mr. "Taking it Slow" (FYI, we were friends in HS and have recently reconnected) and I have gone out again. Had a great time...he has done all the calling/emailing/making dates from the get go. We went back to his place and talked for 2 hours, then made out, followed by some physical stuff (not intercourse.) Earlier in the evening, he told me that he wanted to get more physically affectionate with me (such as holding my hand, stroking my leg, etc.), but it felt like he was "cheating on his ex."

Ok it's not as bad as it sounds ladies because I know how taboo it is to date an ex's friend. With that said, I was dating someone we'll call Bob (and god no his name was not Bob.. I'm not sure I could date someone with that name lol).
