I've been sick like a dog all week. If I didn't know better I'd swear I'd have that forsaken swine flu crap.
But there is a joy to the racking coughs and stuffy nose.

Fishnets under a pair of booty shorts with a corset top (bra if you were daring) and cute black booties meant you were an angel, cat, Lady Gaga, devil, cop, pirate, bumble bee, Beyonce, lady bug or just Sexy. I must say most women did a great job infusing creative ideas, Sexy and fashion together to create their very own costume! This year I went for cute vs sexy and became my friend Camille (who happens to be a Hooters Girl) and Camille went as a sexy pirate. Thank god for pantyhose (it was freezing outside) and free shots making this Halloween one to remember.....although if I hear one more wing order I might lose it!

*On a more personal note, I know some people that were involved in the White House entertainment. Chicago's Redmoon theater company was hired to provide entertainment on the lawn (the skeleton band and bubble installation amongst others). I've included some pictures at the end of the post.*
WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama on Saturday doled out presidential M&Ms and dried fruit mixes to more than 2,000 trick-or-treaters, marking their Halloween at a White House event partly aimed at honoring military families.

I thought women usually had problems mainly with their mother in laws.
My problem is my retired father-in-law-to-be. Father in law tends to buy a one-way ticket - often leaving his wife at home - the day before he travels and just informs us he's turning up. Leaving my partner and I to buy a return ticket - not by mutual consent mind you (my partner bleats that his father is "just trying to help" or "that's just the way he is" in response to my every objection) - but usually because I've had to nag for a week or two to get it, causing problems between the pair of us.

Azazel Walking
I stared out the window watching trees and road pass by while listening to the music blaring out of my ipod speakers. I didnt even notice the car stopped until my mother called “We’re here Azazel! Get the he.ll out!” I grabbed my stuff and slammed the car door shut.

We've been approved by a German Shepherd rescue to adopt one of their rescues. :cheer: We got to meet this gorgeous boy over the weekend. The lady who is fostering him will have the final say in who will adopt him, but it looks like we have a great chance.

The Dissing of Laura Bush
By WILLIAM MCGURN (WSJ)
By choosing Fort Bragg for her first official trip outside the capital last Thursday, Michelle Obama signaled that she will use her position as First Lady to promote one of America's most deserving causes: our military families. Plainly the families loved it. Just look at the smiles on those children as she read them "The Cat in the Hat."

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.
They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, 'How was the trip?'
