4 charged with digging up graves, reselling plots ALSIP, Illinois (CNN) -- Four people face felony charges after authorities discovered hundreds of graves had been dug up at a historic African-American cemetery near Chicago, Illinois, authorities said Thursday. More than 300 graves may have been dug up in Burr Oak Cemetery in Alsip, about 20 miles south of Chicago, Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart said. He said earlier that workers at the cemetery allegedly dug up the caskets, dumped the remains, resold the plots and pocketed the cash.RED MARBLES

I was at the corner grocery store buying some early potatoes. I noticed a small boy, delicate of bone and feature, ragged but clean, hungrily appraising a basket of freshly picked green peas.
