As part of the international contingent on Sugar, I just wanted to say Happy Canada Day!
The weather in Ontario isn't particularly favourable right now, so unfortunately there will be no going to the park to watch fireworks on my end... I don't like sitting on wet grass ;)
Also, I might as well say an early Happy Fourth of July to all of my American friends :)

TORONTO, Dec 7 (Reuters) - Kiefer Sutherland, star of the hit television series "24", should be cut from Canadian TV ads promoting Ford vehicles after his second drunk driving conviction, an advocacy group said on Friday
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Canada is demanding Ford Motor Co (F.N: Quote, Profile, Research) of Canada pull ads in which Sutherland does the voice-over.
"Ford Motor Company has a wonderful opportunity to send Mr. Sutherland a fairly strong message," Andrew Murie, chief executive of MADD Canada, told Reuters in an interview.
"There should never be an excuse, when you can afford your own driver or your own limousine, to ever get into this situation.

I can take a good joke at Canada's expense as well as my other fellow Canucks, but in my opinion this crosses the line (especially in light of the recent deaths of four Canadian soldiers).
*UPDATE (info from a Globe and Mail article)
Gutfeld apologized via his Twitter account saying, “My apologies to the Canadian military, they probably could at least beat the Belgians.”
He also issued an apology via FOX: "I realize that my words may have been misunderstood. It was not my intent to disrespect the brave men, women and families of the Canadian military, and for that I apologize.

Glaciers Caused Gravity Anomaly in Canada
By Jeanna Bryner
(May 11) - A mysterious dip in gravity over Canada has been a weighty topic for some scientists. Now satellite data reveal a thick ice sheet that once cloaked the region partially resolves this so-called gravitational anomaly.
(For years, scientists have been puzzled by the so-called "missing gravity" in a huge swath of land centered around Hudson Bay in Northern Canada, above.)
Scientists have known that the Hudson Bay region features lower gravity than surrounding areas.
