I went to see Bedtime Stories today with my sister and friend and i was pleasantly surprised. Plot: Marty Bronson (Jonathan Pryce) who raises his son and daughter on his own has to sell his homey motel to clever Barry Nottingham (Richard Griffiths) who promises to make Marty's son manager, when he's grown up and has proven himself. Nottingham pulls down the motel to raise a pricey hotel.Blast From the Past: The Alchemist
So I finally decided to unpack my boxes of books and organize them on the new bookshelf today and while doing so, I came across this gem of a book, buried in the midst, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
It immediately brought me back to July 2000 right before my freshman year of college was to start and 3 months after being moved to the states in the sweltering S. Carolina heat.

You could fall helplessly in love with a vampire, which is what happens to the virginal 17-year-old heroine and narrator of Stephenie Meyer’s book.
