Actor Kal Penn from the Harold & Kumar movies is working a guest lecturer in Asian American studies at the University of Pennsylvania. He teaches two courses, “Images of Asian Americans in the Media,” and “Contemporary American Teen Films.” Penn has an undergraduate degree in sociology from the University of California and is working on a graduate certificate in international security from Stanford.
Penn contacted the department after he gave a speech for the college during Asian Pacific American Heritage week.

Big campaign donors typically come with deep pockets and influence. But in Illinois this election cycle, no one not running for office himself has given more to the nation's federal campaigns than Shi Sheng Hao of Roselle, a virtual unknown in business and political circles.
Before September 2007, Hao's name had never appeared in the 15-year-old federal database of campaign contributors.

I never read this site but it was linked today on Citizen and I read this article - very interesting points, I wanted to share.
When a 19 year-old white supremacist recently gained a seat on the Palm Beach County Republican Executive Committee, the election created such an outcry that embarrassed local politicians used a technicality to block his seating. The entire process was buffoonish, although the views of the spawn of a grand wizard of the KKK and his supporters were not.

When I flip or troll through the latest fashion mags, I can’t help but be proud of the multitude of Asian models, designers and industry elite. Especially after a brave foray into the Opening Ceremony sample sale this past weekend, where a hipper than thou crew of California Asian Americans and happa princes and princesses smoothly ran the show, I was inspired to get creative, perhaps making my own t-shirts via a silkscreening class or busting out my sewing machine. While my own fashion endeavors are but budding, here at FABRIC we’ve compiled a handy dandy Guide to Asians in Fashion Now, complete with photos and brief bios of our favorite Asian fashion insiders.

There is much talk about milk and how it affects your body and its relation to several illnesses. For me, I was urged by my doctors to lay off the moo juice and its products to help alleviate my symptoms of Endometriosis. So far, it has worked and has done wonders for my digestive system (as well as my weight)!

There's a menu on Barack Obama's website labeled 'People' which is separated into sections for the major ethnic and social groups that make up America's public. Each section contains endorsements from major figures in society, videos, photos, and blogs that represent that group specifically. So, if you want to know how Obama has had an impact on those who look like you and have the same interests as your own, then check out these links:

Okay I love hip hop music, along with the music and artists it produces. I love that hip hop can cross over so many other music genres, like for example using instruments that are known to only play classical pieces. So with that said, I have had a great interest listening to hip hop violinists since three years ago because 1) I love the violin (though I don't play it all, lol) and 2) I love hip hop.

PS Kiss Color Fever Lipstick by LancomeFor those of you who are fortunate enough to find Lancome's PS Kiss lipstick, I highly recommend it! First of all, I'm an Asian American with thin lips. My skin tone is medium and I think I'm pretty fortunate to be able to wear most colors.
