My very first attempt at making homemade bread turned out great! Made one loaf white, one loaf cinnamon, Amish bread. Recently purchased a cast iron dutch oven and am looking forward to trying corn bread, as well as no knead bread, can only hope for the same success!

Coolio was once cool. With the release of “Gangsta’s Paradise” in 1995, he was on top of the charts and equal with Snoop Dogg in urban music popularity. But somehow he lost the momentum and his subsequent releases failed to make a mark.

Tsuki, my dog. She is a 7 month old cream/pinto Shiba Inu. We found her when I was volunterring for a rescue group via a tip by an animal rights group in a predominantly amish community where puppy mills are the run of the mill.

Moo = My mom
My mom grew up on a dairy farm in Lancaster County Pennsylvania where there is a wonderful mixture of traditions. Lancaster is also one of the places in the country where you will find a large Amish and Mennonite community. This recipe comes from her childhood and my childhood and because I actually made a batch that my mom thought was wonderful I feel I can pass it along here.
