Is Being a Sports Lover Important to You?

The Lakers kicked off its NBA season last night and it was, as it always is, a star-studded event. There were gorgeous men lining the court and although some of the fans were there to socialize and be seen, a lot of them were there for the love of the game - Leo and Jack to name a few!

Guys who love sports have always been attractive to me. Yes, I happen to like sports, too, but I think it's a turn on to watch men watch sports. Perhaps that's a weird requirement for the guys I date, but ladies, tell me, is a guy being a sports lover important to you, too?

Cat Guys; The New Trend

I just came across an interesting article in the New York Times that may be debunking the common assumption that dog is a man's best friend. It seems that more heterosexual men are coming out of the "cat closet," opting for a fluffy, cuddly cat instead of a high maintenance rowdy dog. Sandra DeFeo, an executive director at the Humane Society of New York said that there's been an increase in single men adopting cats and Carole Wilbourn, a cat therapist, said that the number of her straight male clients has risen 25 percent over the past five years.

As we all know, owning a cat comes with a plethora of negative connotations, especially for women, but I don't buy it - an animal lover is an animal lover! And doesn't owning a feline say something about his confidence? I certainly think it does. What do you think? Are you turned off by men that own cats? Are you turned on because you're a cat lover too? Or does it make no difference to you whatsoever?

Good Idea or Bad Idea: Befriending a BFF to Get the Date

The other night out with a friend, I was approached by a guy who was friendly and talkative. In fact, he was so relaxed that I could tell right off the bat that he wasn’t interested in me. All it took was one glance at the googly eyes he was making at my friend for me to know that he was befriending me as a way of getting to her. I was happy enough to play along, and by the end of the night she was totally excited to have a date for the weekend.

If you’re into dating strategies this seems like a good one, but I'd rather not chance giving some random guy the wrong impression when all I really want to do is talk to his friend. What do you think? Is befriending his BFF to get a date a good idea or a bad idea?
