I think Geek would agree with me when I say that being a techie has never been cooler. But just because being at the forefront of technology has finally caught on, it doesn’t necessarily mean that your hearts go aflutter every time your IT guy helps you with your computer. In fact, I’m sure some of you still prefer a toolbox or briefcase over a laptop bag.

With a new season comes new trends. If you're a magazine junky like me, it's pretty hard to avoid reading about the new it bag or the trendy new color that'll be hot for the season. While I like to think I have my own unique style, it's inevitable that I pick up a few new habits every season, however some people take trendy to a whole different level.

In a recent story on NPR's "Weekend Edition", affluent, plush mom's are feeling the pressure of keeping up with the Jone's, by having even more kids than the Jone's! In some cities, the trend of having larger families is proving that 4 has become the new 2.
Historically, people have had large families so the kids could help on the farms, or because adults lacked sexual education and birth control, but now, in many cities across the United States, career women choice to stay at home is much more justified if they have more kids to raise.

Today is the official release day for the new Apple iPhone. People have been pining over this hot new gadget for months now, making it the most talked about, anticipated "it" phone ever! Since no one has even used it yet, the general public is just trusting all the hype, wanting to make sure they have the talked about toy of the summer.

Nothing in Islam forbids birth control, but like Christianity the religion does extol procreation. So as the pill becomes more accessible in Afghanistan — a country with a fertility rate of six children per woman — it's no surprise it's controversial. Now that many women have access to it, they are forced to take it behind their husbands' backs.

A popular nightclub in Australia has decided to ban "metrosexuals" in an attempt to curb violence. Apparently a certain style of dress is enough to start a bar fight.
On the list of forbidden clothing items you will find low-cut v-neck t-shirts, skinny jeans, pointy white shoes, popped collars, and Ed Hardy tops.
