Although I am the perfect mix of my mother and father, I have grown up to be my father's twin in terms of looks and sense of humor, we also share the same love for spicy foods and agree on what a vacation is all about!

While there may be some bad habits we’d rather avoid, for the most part, the similarities we share with our mothers really are something special. Being a woman is amazing, we have the honor of bearing children, we are sensitive and compassionate, we get to be feminine and girly whenever we want, but at the same time, as women, we suffer through our periods every month, we have to fight for job equality, and have to keep up with the Jones' in terms of weight, fashion and status. So ladies, if you had to abolish one female characteristic to make your life easier, do tell, what would you change?

Do Tell: What Macho Traits Do You Wish Would Go Away?

We've heard about the he-cession and how the economic downturn has affected men's mental health perhaps even more than it has women's.

One writer goes further and says that all of this bad news for men is just paving the way for the death of macho as we know it. Macho arrogance got us into a lot of this global financial mess, he reasons, and its exit stage left will get us out of it. Furthermore, power dynamics are either shifting from men to women or equalizing in the public and private sphere into something more egalitarian.

I would love it if macho men stopped being homophobic, communicated better, respected women, and felt comfortable (gasp!) showing their emotional sides rather than trying to prove how tough they are. What macho traits would you be happy to see die off?

Insecurities - we all have them no matter how hard we try to fight them off. They can come in many different forms: a character trait, a nervous habit, or a way of life. But almost all of them have the ability to affect our daily life and routine, our relationships, our job, and our friendships. Of course some insecurities are more severe than others, but no matter what, they can be hard to handle. So ladies, if you could rid yourself of one specific insecurity or character trait that interferes with your quality of life, what would it be?

Dear Poll: Are You More Like the Girl or the Guy?

When I asked if your significant other shows his emotion well, the results were pretty evenly split, although very extreme - the men were either completely closed off or very in touch with their feelings. Hearing stories of guys who are not ashamed to cry got me thinking about the roles we play in our relationships. Sometimes, we take on the stereotypical traits our gender dictates, but that's not always the case. So tell me, are you more of the girl or the guy in your relationship?

Dear Poll: Passive or Pushy?

If you take a second to note of the different personalities of your friends, I bet some of them couldn't be more opposite. But that's one of the great things about having a big group of friends - everyone is different. In my group, I have one incredibly pushy friend and one incredibly passive friend. While I love them both, each personality trait can be equally draining. My pushy friend is needy and opinionated while my passive friend never makes an effort and waits for everyone to come to her, but I of course accept them for who they are. I'm sure we all have a little bit of both in us, but which personality trait do you most relate to?

I have never been a real commitment person. I have had a couple flings in the past year but nothing serious. While there are definitely subconscious signs we all give off to others, most of them are simply part of our personalities. When your friends say single signals, I'm assuming that they're saying you're confident, perhaps flirty and outgoing - all of which are great qualities to posses. And just because you haven't met anyone worthwhile yet, it's not to say that your personality traits are to blame.

Being approachable is extremely important when meeting new people, so make sure you're aware of the vibe you're giving off. Try to keep a smile on your face and just have fun - no one wants to approach a Debbie Downer. But when the time is right Phoebe, you'll meet someone that sparks your interest, regardless of your signals!

Dear Poll: Are You Needy?

Even if you’re incredibly independent, I think everyone goes through times in their life when they’re feeling deprived in some way and that unfulfilled desire often leads to bouts of neediness. I’ve gone through these moments with many friends, but very few are people whom I’d describe as needy. The friends that I do label with that trait have a personality that is consistently expectant and demanding. They can be frustrating, but I actually do appreciate that they speak up when they need something from our friendship. So ladies, would you consider yourself a needy person?
