Gift Guide: Design Fiend-Approved Toys

Anyone who has ever heard of a gift registry knows that people get picky when it comes to which gifts they'll accept into their homes. This is particularly true with bride-zillas, first-time pregnant ladies, and design fiends. So, if you're planning to pick up a gift for the son or daughter of a design fiend friend or family member, you better restrain yourself before you head to Toys 'R Us. Toys Read more

If Money Weren't an Issue . . .

. . . would you decorate your mantel with this Rare 1940s Balloon Mold ($3,800) from an old American toy factory? If Money Weren't an Issue . . . Absolutely — it's so unique and fun! Milky The Marvelous Milking Cow

The kids in this commercial must've been tip-top actors, because I refuse to believe that children were ever this pumped about playing with a messy plastic cow. I'd much rather play with an Oopsie-Daisy Cow Dispenser that could at least crap real jelly beans all day long. Read more

Do Tell: Your Favorite Toy or Game from Childhood

I loved Red Light, Green Light, Best-Bear, and the flints I found in the backyard, part of which contained an old arrowhead bed. My mom kept the perfect and whole arrowheads, and I got a box of flint I'd spend hours banging together in the dark. Good times. Do tell, which childhood toys and games do you remember best?
