Is Pregnorexia Just an Obnoxious, Upper-Class, "White-Girl" Issue?

Could the latest pregnancy trend really be Pregnorexia, or is it a just a problem that wealthy, self-obsessed moms bring on themselves?

This morning's Today show highlighted the skinny-while-pregnant trend focusing on the rash of celebrity moms-to-be who continue to keep their svelte figures while carrying a baby. The doctors and psychoanalysts participating in the segment highlighted the need to gain weight within the recommended guidelines for both the mother and baby's sake, but the show's resident medical expert frankly stated her disgust with the whole issue, saying:

Pregnancy should be 9 months of root beer floats and bliss . . . This is an Upper East Side, white girl, obnoxious problem. . . . And for the women who can't get pregnant right now, they're not liking this segment. Let's get real!

4 Sister Wives Share Their System on Today

The stars of the new TLC show Sister Wives stopped by the Today Show this morning to teach the public about polygamy. When asked how he pulls it off, husband Cody smiles and points to the sky - he thanks God for his four wives, and clearly Cody's living the good life. As for the wives, they admit they get jealous. How do they deal with it? They "get over" themselves. They also schedule days for alone time and intimacy. So could they make the system work with another husband? In response to that question, Cody sits silent, while the wives say that would never happen.

But I think the best part of the interview comes toward the end of this video. When asked if they worry that their 16 children will have a problem dealing with reality TV infamy, I can't help but think: "That's the least of their problems." Even so, I'm intrigued by the show, and I'll try to keep an open mind.

She warns dieters not to repeat the same meal two days in a row, even if it's healthy and low-fat. The change in menu will keep one from getting too bored with their eating habits and help them stay the path and meet their weight loss goals.

Sarah Palin Biographer Immerses Himself in House Next Door

Fame. I bet Sarah Palin never imagined an inquisitive journalist moving in next door would prove she's arrived. Author Joe McGinniss insists he's not there to stalk her - not even observe her - but to spend the Summer in Wasilla talking to the people who know her best. Besides, he told the Today show this morning, $1,500 a month for a six-bedroom lake house is a steal.

In a soap opera-ish turn, he actually did not seek the house out. Palin's permanent neighbor, McGinniss's landlord, tracked him down and offered it to him. It was an act of revenge on the Palins for, allegedly, owing the neighbor money.

The Palins have raised their fence, so McGinniss can't see over, and Sarah has lashed out at him. "Wonder what kind of material he'll gather while overlooking Piper's bedroom, my little garden, and the family's swimming hole?" she wrote on, where else, Facebook.

She calls it stalking, and he calls it good journalism; but what would you call it?

Betty White Is Ready to Host SNL With or Without Clothes

Betty White is ready to get to work on hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend. She stopped by the Today show this morning, and told Meredith Vieira she wanted to say thanks but no thanks to SNL - as she's refused three times before - but her agent wouldn't let her. But now she's excited, so we're excited to see her live from New York at last.

She also talked nudity (she'll do some!) and where her comedic chops came from (mom and dad), and politely refused Meredith's probe to talk about her friend Sandra Bullock. Check it out - the beginning's the best, but we included the whole interview for all you Betty lovers.

Jenna Bush and Bill Clinton Talk Chelsea Clinton's Wedding

Today in weird interviews, Jenna Bush Hager chatted with Bill Clinton on the Today show, where she is now a correspondent. While they mostly talked about his work in Haiti, the obligatory personal jabber near the end, when Jenna asked about Chelsea's wedding, caught my attention.

I thought Bill was going to cry, and then he quoted George W. Bush, saying: "You know it [seeing your child marry] proves you've done what you were supposed to do, but it doesn't make it entirely easy." Now, I might expect that sentiment from W., but Bill? If a child marrying symbolizes a parenting job well done, then what about a child not marrying?

How Would You Describe Your Personal Brand?

I turned on the Today Show this morning while I was getting ready and caught a segment that made me want to put a little more thought into my outfit. Branding expert Martin Lindstrom was on to talk about how we should all build a personal brand that will help us stand out in a crowd. Celebrities like Donald Trump, Martha Stewart, and let's face it Lindsay Lohan, leverage their names for success and profit, so why can't we?

Martin gave some actionable tips, including: define what you're known for (always being on time? over delivering on promises?); pick a personal style (such as wearing black); don't be afraid of mystery (tell your best stories, but let people fill in the details). How would you describe your "personal brand"?
