In case you missed it while you were cooking the turkey (or recovering from a turkey-induced coma), the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade got Rick Rolled! By Rick Astley himself! (Lookin' pretty good, I might add.

I think one of the best parts about being in a relationship is creating new traditions together, unique to the life you live as a couple. Of course, incorporating each other's family traditions is always fun, but so is instating an after-Thanksgiving hike with your hubby every year or a putting up Christmas lights while eating your leftovers. If this is something you've done in your relationship, tell us, what holiday traditions have you created with your significant other?

Politics and the economy have been the big topics of conversation this year — with good reason — but since many families have a "no politics" clause during family get-togethers, the hot topics are usually off limits. If your family is anything like mine, it's those hot topics that end up dominating the conversation anyway.
Getting family together can be tough enough as it is without engaging in heated debate so tell me, what were the conversations at your table like this year?

Sometimes being a news junkie is depressing. Headlines about the financial crisis, violence around the world, international tension, and global warming read like a script for a movie about the end of the world. But it's not all doom and gloom out there!

(Or as awkward as that headline!) Oh, Martha. I imagine anyone you put next to Martha is going to seem "street." Snoop Dogg and Martha play out the tired ol' odd couple trope as Martha with her oddly enunciated words and Snoop Dogg (well, with his oddly enunciated words) make mashed potatoes together.

Some people rob banks and get into trouble with too much time on their hands — others crochet berets in the shape of Thanksgiving pies. (Nice latticework, and I'm really digging that scrumptious dollop of cream!) I'm pro-pie crocheting, just in case you were wondering.

Thanksgiving is all about family, delicious food, fancy drinks, and, of course, small talk about the state of the nation, gas prices, and our president-elect. Debating politics with family members can get dicey, so I suggest doing your homework and having a safety net of topics that will encourage healthy conversation and smart family bonding without alienating those who, well, don't agree with you.
Whether your aim is a heated, controversial debate or lighthearted banter, here are some stories that are sure to get the crowd talking.

Last night on her show, Rachel Maddow described the grueling elimination process conducted to select two lucky turkeys who receive the president's Thanksgiving pardon.
The competition begins with 13 turkeys, who then get trained to be comfortable around humans. The two turkeys with the best personalities won George W.
