Taking on the three Republican senators who voted for the stimulus bill (along with all the Democrats) might be a good idea, according to RNC chair Michael Steele. On Fox News this week, Steele sent a warning shot to Republicans Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine, and Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania. Bringing the pledge of transparency to Internet life, the White House has officially launched Recovery.gov — a website that lets you track the stimulus money.
The President says, "instead of politicians doling out money behind closed doors, the important decisions about where taxpayer dollars are invested will be yours to scrutinize." To help you scrutinize, the site has features like an interactive map showing you how many jobs will be created in each state, graphs breaking down stimulus funds, a timeline for crucial upcoming milestones, and a place for you to share what's working, and not working for you.

Americans have some pretty low expectations these days. In a new poll only 38 percent of voters said they believe the $787 billion stimulus plan will help the economy.
Middle-income Americans are more likely to think the package will hurt the economy more than help it; while low and upper income individuals are more optimistic.
