Last month I wrote about a surprising study that stated men are more attracted to women in the Winter time. As someone who loves the Summer, I'd always thought the opposite - that women are far sexier with a dewy glow - but apparently I've been wrong all these years! Sure, Winter clothes are cute and it's fun to bundle up, but tell me, do you feel sexy when it's cold outside?

Do Tell: Do Certain Seasons Make You More in the Mood?

Don't you just love Fall? It's such a cozy time of year, full of fleece coats, sipping hot cups of cider, and afternoon outings pumpkin picking. Long walks admiring the warm colored leaves and crisp air give hints that Winter holiday celebrations are on their way. If you're in a relationship, all these pleasant feelings can make you fall in love all over again.

Other seasons can have this same effect on your mood and how you feel about the people in your life. So I'm wondering if certain seasons make you more in the mood for love and intimacy than others. Do you have a favorite season that you look forward to every year that encourages feelings of love, or is it the change in seasons that inspires passion for you?

The How-To Lounge: Getting Excited About Fall

I love the Fall; there’s something so special about those months just before Winter. But even though I enjoy the Fall season, for some reason every year, I have a terrible time letting go of Summer and all those long, hot nights. So I’ve come up with some tips for taking the edge off. To see them, read more.

I love sandals, but I love scarves and boots more! Personally I think the Fall can bring out the greatest in attire, so get pumped up by cleaning out (and adding to) your closet.
The great outdoors are usually still gorgeous in the Fall, and without tourists swarming your closest national park, you’ll be able to enjoy them more. It’s a great way to transition away from Summer’s bounty of outdoor fun without abandoning it completely.
Unfortunately, even the breezy Fall can have its share of blustery days. When that happens, I like to make sure I take advantage of it and grab a chai latte or indulge in some grocery store pumpkin pie, with whipped cream of course! Nothing says Fall to me like spiced drinks and pumpkins!
It’s football season, so don’t fear, you can still enjoy the fries and hot dogs you worshiped at your local stadium all Summer.
The Fall season also happens to be when all our favorite TV shows premiere, so set your DVR, and come the next cold Saturday, don’t feel the least bit guilty curling up for a few hours with just your remote.

We can’t stop the Fall from coming, but we can make the best of it!

Oh Snap! Times Square Goes Mad (Men)

I watched last night's season three premiere of Mad Men; did you? However, my viewing party couldn't compete with the big bash held in New York's Times Square. Hundreds of fans in '60s attire joined Mad Men actor Brian Bhatt and Project Runway alum Laura Bennett to watch the new episode and compete in a preshow costume contest. 5 Gays Talk Project Runway Fall, at Least One Blames Women

From moving to the West Coast, to the influx of celebrity judges, to casting drama over talent, five gay men have offered their theories on why viewership of Project Runway fell 25 percent between the premiere of season six and its ninth episode. One faults having three female finalists (though that happened on Bravo's final season too) saying:

"I am all for diversity and playing to your audience’s demographic, but please. And not to sound completely misogynistic, but three women as finalists? No fags? Really? These women were probably the most talented, but obviously when you tell the Bunim/Murray casting juggernaut, 'This is Lifetime: Television for Women, not talented gay male fashion designers,' you get what you get!"

While he jests (mostly), women probably miss the Christian Sirianos who sharpen their tongues before even threading a needle each morning just as much as gay men do. But what do I know? I only watched the first three episodes.

The How-To Lounge: Dressing In-Between Seasons

While the clocks have been turned back and Spring is in the air, not every city has the weather to match the season. It is very easy to want to prematurely jump the gun on dressing for Spring but one minute the sun is out and the next it's pouring rain, so how is one to dress for that kind of weather? This kind of weather can add an extra level of stress to your morning routine so hopefully these tips will help you dress between seasons.

Don't forget your umbrella. Spring is known for rain, remember, April showers bring May flowers. If you wear rain boots to work, make sure to bring another pair of shoes to change into
While your outfit should represent the season you're in, pay attention to the weather. Don't wear open toed shoes and bare legs in the pouring rain, etc.
Even if it is cold outside, resist your favorite chunky sweater, black boots, and tights. Leave Winter wear in the past where it belongs
Spring is all about layering. I suggest investing in a trench coat which is the perfect layering piece for any occasion
If you have spring skirts or dresses that you are dying to debut, wear them with brown boots, a cardigan, or blazer for extra warmth
Cropped pants and knit dresses are a great way to segue to Spring, and choose ballet flats or peep toe shoes for your footwear to update your look
Regardless of your outfit, now is the time to introduce color to your wardrobe. Even though the sun might not be shining, try to stay away from black and other winter colors

When Is Your Breakup Season?

If you're still together with your significant other, you've got 22 more days until you're out of the danger zone according to January's issue of Shape. Research shows that 56 percent of breakups happen between Thanksgiving and Valentine's Day. Sure, the holidays are a stressful time for everyone, but I would have thought that more people would break up once Spring had sprung, not when you want a warm body to cuddle up with. I guess my assumptions were incorrect on this one! So ladies, since we are apparently in the midst of breakup season, do you agree with these statistics or is Spring/Summer when you usually end your relationships?

Awkward! Not Sure About Inviting Boyfriend to Thanksgiving

Since the Holiday season can be rich with awkward moments, a friend of mine is trying to sort out a relationship dilemma before Thanksgiving arrives. Read her story, and see if you can offer her any advice.

"My boyfriend and I have been dating for about six months. Thanksgiving is coming up and I will be going to my parent's house, which is about two hours away from where I live now, for the weekend. Each year my extended family and I celebrate Thanksgiving at my aunt's house, which is right near my parent's. Since my boyfriend's family lives really far away, I would love to invite him to come. My only concern is that it might be overwhelming for him. He's met my parents when they came to visit, but this would involve staying at their house, not to mention meeting all my cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Then again, it seems like a natural step in our relationship. Should I ask him to come along, or is it putting too much pressure on him?"
