Relationship Protocol: Do You Groom Each Other?

Couples are all about physical closeness, but somehow it's still strange to learn just how close some couples really are. Take their grooming habits for example. That particular kind of intimacy is one that I usually associate with alone time. Needless to say, I was surprised recently when this topic came up and many of my friends admitted to grooming their significant others - one said she plucks her boyfriend's eyebrows, and another says she has him paint her toenails! Of course when I pried, they admitted that some things they still kept to themselves. So spill it ladies, even if it might be strange: in your relationship, what grooming habits do you do for the other?

Male Pubic Hair: To Shave or Not

There is a new trend catching on - male grooming, "down there," and the jury is still out on whether or not it's a do or a don't.

Originally, women liked to get Brazilian waxes or shave their bikini line so they could wear tiny bathing suits, but now, we women are keeping our lady parts trimmed and waxed for aesthetic purposes too.

If you think about it, it makes sense for men too. Getting rid of unwanted hair down there will not only make guys feel more comfortable and clean, but it will also be an added bonus for women when they give their boyfriends oral sex.

I happen to be a big advocate of personal grooming, although keeping a little fluff down there is beneficial for your protection. So what's your opinion on the subject? Are you into guys shaving all of the hair off their manhood? Are you into a little trimming? Or are you into a guy that just goes au' natural?

If you ask me, Portuguese soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo looks like a Roman god. I'm not the only person who finds him sexy, as Armani just announced that he'll be its newest underwear model. Still, Cristiano might be a little too well-groomed for some of you who like your men to look a little more rugged. What do you think?

You might not after you get a glimpse, if you dare (extremely NSFW!) of guesshermuff.blogspot.com. It's so offensive in both content and intent that you'll have to cut and paste it yourself if you want to see it. (No hyperlink!)

I'm letting you know about it to remind you that those naked pictures you give to your boyfriend could resurface for strange dudes to leer at and comment on either because your boyfriend's computer is stolen, someone gets hold of its contents somehow - or he's out for revenge. (And to you folks who just like to post nekkid pics of yourself just because, I'm talking to you, too!)

Here's the premise of this site. On its main page, you see the image of a clothed woman. Some of the women might already have naked pictures of themselves on the Internet as "web-cam girls," but a lot of the photos look like they're just someone's girlfriend who took sexy boudoir photos - and I say "boudoir photo" euphemistically. (We're not talking white corsets and parasols here.) Underneath the clothed image, you can click on a link that will take you to naked pictures. Before you do that (and by "you" I mean some gross guy), you're supposed to guess how the woman grooms herself down there.

Thanks to Weffie for alerting womankind of such pestilence on the Internet. As she pointedly told me, there are photo-removal request instructions at the bottom of the page, which suggests that most of the women featured here have no freaking idea they're there until they see it or someone who knows them sees it. So wrong!

Just another reminder the next time you think only your significant other is the only person who may ever see you naked . . . just think about this site.

Awkward! Wedding Planning With Fiancé Causing Tension

I know a very modern bride who is beginning to wonder if she really knows the guy she's marrying. It's not that she's having second thoughts - it's just that planning their wedding is highlighting differences of opinion about tradition and convention she didn't know were there.

For example, this bride is hip to the fact that weddings are not unique events. Lots of people get married. At the same time, she wants her wedding to have a personal, nonconformist touch. This is where the conflict with her more traditional fiancé has come in. He values conformity and sees it as a social good. Unlike his fiancée, he actually cares what other people think.

So what are the differences of opinion they have about how they should plan their wedding? To find out read more.

First off, she doesn't want name cards at the table. He thinks they're classy; she thinks they're an unnecessary cost and a waste of paper.

Secondly, both have agreed to cupcakes instead of wedding cake (OK, so traditional guy is a little nonconformist), but he wants vanilla (because "it's supposed to be that way") and she likes chocolate because . . . it's more delicious.

Last but not least - the guest list. The bride wants to give their moms a guest limit so that they don't invite too many people and overrun the wedding with people they don't know. He doesn't want to tell his mom that there's a limit and, in addition, he thinks having a lot of diverse people will make them look good to other people.

Should weddings conform to traditional wedding etiquette at the expense of personal touches, practicality - or the bride's wishes? How should this bride and groom get over their differences and celebrate their union? And finally, have you ever experienced something similar?

Group Therapy: My New Boyfriend Is a Smoker With Bad Oral Hygiene - Help!

I may not be the tidiest person in the world (although I try), but I am fastidious when it comes to personal hygiene and grooming. I brush my teeth at least twice every day and shower at least once daily. My problem is that the guy I just started dating is not the same way. He is a smoker (which I hate) and he does not regularly brush his teeth. To make matters worse, he hasn't been to the dentist in years because he doesn't have dental coverage.

Overall, I am completely and totally turned off by his lack of oral hygiene and I don't know what to do anymore. I have told him several times that I don't like kissing him because of his bad/smoky breath, but it doesn't change anything. And even after he does brush his teeth, his breath still stinks! I don't know how to get through to him. Do you guys have any advice?

Not only is it an opportunity to enjoy some much-needed fun, but it’s also a way for the bride and groom to give thanks to the people who’ve put energy, time, and money into their wedding. Traditionally, the rehearsal dinner takes place just after the rehearsal ceremony the night before your wedding day and is planned and paid for by the groom’s parents. However, many couples end up throwing the dinner themselves or splitting the cost with both sides of parents.
Typically the bride and groom invite their immediate family as well as the wedding party, but it’s not strange to also invite out-of-town guests or other close friends that you want to enjoy time with the night before the big day.
As with the other wedding events, invitations are customary, though if you’re keeping it very intimate, a phone call or email is equally appropriate.
In celebration of their help, this is the time to pass out presents to the wedding party and any other people that may have played a large role in the planning process.
The rehearsal dinner is often an opportunity for the bride and groom to offer thanks to their family for their support - this is usually done through a short toast by the couple - so take a little time beforehand to decide what you’ll say. In Love and Marriage, Do Traditional Titles Matter?

The overturning of the ban on same-sex marriage in California has changed many lives and simultaneously sparked a slew of arguments. In fact, as reported by the Sacramento Bee, a recently wed couple - Rachel Bird and Gideon Codding - are starting their own debate over the wording of the new gender-neutral marriage license, which has changed the traditional reference of Bride and Groom to Party A and Party B.

Bird offered her own explanation, saying: "We are traditionalists - we just want to be called bride and groom," and for this couple, anything else is unacceptable; they refuse to sign the license as-is. The article also mentions that this particular fight is a personal one, rather than religious. But whatever the motivation for standing their ground, I find the attachment to these two words interesting. They do represent tradition and their cultural significance is vast, but are they truly necessary? When it comes down to it, do these types of traditional titles matter to you and your relationship?
