There's a simple formula to this brand of humor. A song by the dirty singer Peaches + some beloved wholesome show = WTF?! First it was Peaches + Mayberry and now? Peaches + The Muppets! Oh, nooo! I know Miss Piggy was something of a hussy, but this is all kinds of wrong! Look away toward the end if you want to retain any innocence.

The singer Peaches isn't exactly known for her down-home values, as is evidenced in the lyrics (and title!) of the song F*ck the Pain Away. That's why this mash-up is so wrong-and so funny. A woman playing the singer gets teleported to Andy Griffith's sleepy town of Mayberry, and all I can say is-stay away from Opie!

I'm not sure "The Pick Up Artist" is gonna do much for the social lives of these losers. I mean, they're on TV and all, which may result in five seconds of local celebrity fame for them while the show's still airing, but after that, they have to live this sort of embarrassment down-- a not so peachy prospect, if you ask me. Kissing their own hands would have been more dignified. (Thanks, Jezebel!)

Remember the woman with Picklephobia? Now we've got a man with Peachphobia. I'm glad Maury is just a crappy talk show host instead of a therapist, because I doubt chasing someone around the room and taunting them with their phobia--in this case, peaches--is the best idea. But it sure makes for great tv.

The female equivalent of having a ringtone that says "I'm a tits and ass man" would basically be any song by Peaches. (F*ck the Pain Away, with its charming first line, comes to mind.) But this commercial begs a couple questions. First of all, why is beer associated with douchebaggery? Second, doesn't being a "tits and ass man" just mean you're a hetero dude? Dumb.

Ugly Fruit and Veggies No Longer Banned in Europe

In Brussels (the Belgian city, not the sprouts), EU officials have decided to lift the ban on crooked, bent, or twisted perfectly-edible fruit and vegetables. For the past 20 years, 100 pages of regulations have required that produce be uniform in appearance, and sold without any odd curves.

But not all fruit is exempt from standards of beauty - appearance regulations for apples, strawberries, citrus fruit, kiwi, lettuce, pears, peaches, nectarines, sweet peppers, table grapes, and tomatoes will still be on the books, although each country can decide whether they want to enforce them.

Produce sellers in a few countries, like Italy and France, worry that after the ban is gone, consumers will purchase less fruit and vegetables because they will be scared away by deformities. Even if you discriminate against ugly, yet edible, food, should the law be able to?

Kilts and Queen Gather For Traditional Scottish Games

On the first Saturday in September the British Royal family descends on Braemar, Scotland for "the games." The monarch sponsors the Annual Braemar Highland Gathering, a traditional competition, whose modern incarnation goes back 200 years.

Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and Prince Charles, Prince of Wales, along with many of their subjects watched a diverse set of events including: highland dancing, piping, tossing the caber, putting the stone, throwing the hammer, sprinting, long leap, tug of war, children's sack race. The British media noted that the Queen "wore a peach-coloured outfit, and a kilted Philip and Charles arrived at the Games arena shortly after 3pm in a maroon Rolls-Royce."
