Nude covers may not shock us in the States, but when it's an actress from a conservative Islamic country taking it all off it's a different story. The cover model under fire, Pakistani star Veena Malik, says she didn't pose nude for FHM India, and she's filed a $2 million lawsuit against the magazine for making her appear that way in its December issue.

The suit states that Veena posed topless, but never fully nude, and that the magazine's doctored shoot has damaged her reputation. But I'm wondering if it would have been any less controversial had Veena been topless. After all, for the conservative Muslims who are angered over the spread (including her father, who stated he's "disowned" Veena), wouldn't any female nudity be unacceptable?

Photoshopping someone nude against their wishes would be a new low for a magazine, but FHM's editor claims there is video proof that she actually was nude during the photo shoot. Even if Veena had decided to strip completely, it would have been her prerogative. She's already proven that she's willing to push boundaries when it comes to women's rights and sexuality. She's talked openly against Pakistan's poor treatment of women, and she stood up for herself when she was called out for "shaming" her country for her love interest on Indian reality TV show Big Boss earlier last year.

In the December issue of Vanity Fair, Scarlett Johansson bares all about her recently leaked nude photos. The actress wants you to know there's nothing all that scandalous about the photos, but if there were, that would be OK too.

Scarlett said she was simply sending the shots to her then-husband, Ryan Reynolds, explaining, "They were sent to my husband. There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s not like I was shooting a porno. Although there’s nothing wrong with that either." Scarlett continued on her sex-positive defense, commenting on the poses she strikes in the pictures, saying, "I know my best angles."

The man, who hacked into Scarlett's email, as well as the accounts of 50 other celebrities, has subsequently been arrested. He now faces 121 years in prison. What do you make of Scarlett's response?

Celebrity Hacker Says He's Relieved He Was Caught, Faces 121 Years in Prison

"I didn't know how to stop doing it myself," explained Christopher Chaney, the 35-year-old man accused of hacking the private email accounts of 50 celebrities. In an interview with CNN, above, Chaney said "I deeply apologize. I know what I did was probably one of the worst invasions of privacy someone could experience."

Chaney has been indicted for accessing protected computers without authorization, damaging protected computers, wiretapping, and identity theft, and his targets included Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis, and Christina Aguilera. While he maintains that he wasn't trying to profit off the information or distribute it, he also allegedly accessed financial information, movie scripts, and private conversations.

Chaney plans to plead guilty, but if convicted he could face an astounding 121 years in prison. Like many people, Chaney was fascinated by celebrities, but his curiosity caused him to cross the line and he soon got addicted to "seeing the behind the scenes of what's going on with the people you see on the big screen."

After nude photos of Scarlett Johansson hit the Internet last month, she reportedly met with the FBI about it, and she must feel a sense of relief that an arrest has been made. But after her photos leaked many people, including some of our readers, felt stars who take nude photos of themselves should share part of the blame, knowing that there's a public demand for such photos. And some of you said that the FBI has more important things to deal with, despite the serious violation of privacy. PETA Plans to Launch Porn Site to Promote Veganism

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is no stranger to using sex appeal to get people's attention. In the past, the vegan activist group has used images of nude celebs, like Alicia Silverstone, in ads to convince people to give up meat, but now PETA is taking this tactic one giant step further. The animal rights' group plans to launch a pornographic website to promote its message about going vegan.

According to PETA spokeswoman Lindsay Rajt, the new website, peta.xxx, will feature "tantalizing" videos and photographs to get its animal rights messages across. Unfortunately, PETA has discovered that its racier ads and actions work best, and it's a surefire "way to get people to stand up and pay attention about the plight of animals."

November is the earliest that PETA can get approval for this controversial site, so don't try to visit the above address just yet (I don't blame you for being curious!). Critics think this is a bad move for PETA. Sure, it may get people's attention at first, but not the ones who care about animals. This new website could end up offending a lot of people who would otherwise love to hear about the ethical and health-related reasons people should go vegan. What do you think?

Scarlett Johansson May Be the Latest Victim of Nude Photo Hacking

Last March, reports broke that a group of hackers had targeted computers and phones belonging to high-profile women, hoping to find nude photos. The list included around 50 celebrities, including Busy Philipps, Miley Cyrus, Ali Larter, and Vanessa Hudgens, who reportedly met with the FBI about it. Now, nude photos claimed to be of Scarlett Johansson have hit the web.

In this day and age it seems like no digital information is safe - sex tapes leak and there's a nude photo scandal every month or so. In fact, naked-picture starlet scandals go back decades; Marilyn Monroe had her own in 1952. It could be easy to blame celebrities for taking the risk of snapping shots of themselves naked when they know there's a public demand to see them, but this hacker scandal is something different. If true, it means someone has invaded the personal computers or devices of these women. It's not a scorned lover passing around a sext you chose to send, but a targeted attack on these women's privacy.

Not surprisingly, Scarlett Johansson has reportedly gotten the FBI involved, believing this to be a criminal act. Whether or not the photos are real, do you think federal law enforcement should help keep famous women safe from this type of violation?

Boob Battle: Women Bare All to Protest Anti-Topless Rally

The organization GoTopless, which believes women should have the same rights as men when it comes to being bare-chested in public, organized a protest yesterday for National Go Topless Day. But some groups weren't happy about the event and organized their own anti-topless rally in North Carolina. So naturally, two women protested the anti-topless rally by taking off their tops. They would have succeeded, but then one woman took off her pants and was promptly arrested.

The organizers of the rally against the GoTopless event, including former city Councilman Carl Mumpower and former county Republican Party Chairman Chad Nesbitt, said that adults who allow their minor children to attend topless events are guilty of child abuse. Carl said going topless is part of a "conspiracy resulting in the sexual violation of our children" and it's a "sexual performance."
