Dear Poll: What's More Important? The Wedding or the Honeymoon?

My friend is getting married later this month in a fairly modest wedding - just over 30 people at her grandparents' home. She and her fiancé decided to take all the money they would be spending on a bigger wedding and plan an ultrafabulous honeymoon.

This isn’t the first time I’ve heard a couple put their honeymoon plans before wedding celebrations, and while I can’t say whether or not it’s what I’d want for myself, I definitely see the appeal. What do you think? Is the wedding or the honeymoon more important to you?

This or That: Honeymoon Disasters

After all the stress of your wedding , the honeymoon has finally arrived, and you and your new husband couldn’t be more excited. The last year has been a whirlwind and you’re ready for some serious relaxation. But within hours of arriving, your dream honeymoon is turning into a vacation nightmare. Would it be worse if . . .

This: Your luggage never makes its way around the baggage turnstile? When you talk to a rep at your airline, they inform you that they don’t know where your luggage is or when it will arrive, but hopefully within five days - nearly your entire trip.

You Asked: My Fiancé and I Can't Agree on Our Honeymoon!

Dear Sugar,

My fiancé and I are getting married in a few months - everything is planned and ready to go, but we just can't seem to agree on where to go for our honeymoon! I know it's typically the man's responsibility to plan and pay for it, but if I left it up to him, we'd be hiking in the Himalayas when all I really want to do is relax on a beach somewhere.

Without creating an argument, how can we come to an agreement on where to go and what to do? I don't want to sound like a spoiled brat, but I think it's important for us both to be happy. - Honeymoon Fiasco Francesca

Dear Honeymoon Fiasco Francesca,

You're right, you and your fiancé should definitely agree on where you go for your honeymoon so why don't you start off by writing a list of the things you both want out of your vacation. It sounds as though relaxing is important to you while being adventurous is important to him, but there's no reason why you can't meet somewhere in-between. Consider someplace like Costa Rica, New Zealand or South Africa so you'll have both the ability to hang out on the beach and explore your surroundings.

While tradition says the groom should plan the honeymoon, I feel it should be a mutual decision. Your honeymoon is supposed to be about spending time with your new husband and basking in your wedded bliss so it's imperative that you're both happy with your final destination, even if that means a few trips to the drawing board. Good luck, but most importantly, have fun!

Tessa and Tyrell's Lakeside Glamour Wedding

Tessa and Tyrell met as staff members at Camp Firwood in Bellingham, WA, and they tried unsuccessfully to keep the relationship from getting too serious due to all the family ties at the camp. Tessa says, "Since we both have lots of family that has worked at Firwood, our first conversation was about how we could never get married - otherwise all of the Camp Firwood staff would be related!" But just a year later, they began their two-year dating relationship. They were engaged for six months before tying the knot.

Taking place outdoors at Tessa's family's home on Lake Okanagan in British Columbia, the wedding had a beautiful, nature-filled backdrop that didn't require much in the way of decor. "We didn't really have a theme for our wedding," Tessa says. "I just wanted it to be elegant. We chose to have it in the evening and have purple, charcoal, and black as our colors. We had lots of damask pattern in the dark colors, which I think helped us achieve the classy/sophisticated look that I wanted."

Mad Men's 5 Maddest Moments: "Mystery Date"

Peggy gets an assignment from Roger, which leads to her spending quality time with Dawn, the new receptionist. Michael Ginsberg is quickly making his presence known at SCDP, though his tactics very nearly get him fired immediately.

Even though the maddest moment of this week's episode doesn't really happen, I'm still having a hard time getting the image out of my head (I guess I know exactly how Sally feels). Let's chat about those scenes and more after the jump.

Tori Spelling Asks: Do Kids Belong in Mama's Bed?

We're happy to share a new post from ediTORIal by Tori Spelling, Tori's daily blog about everything from food and fashion to parenting and relationships. This week, Tori asks for advice on children in the master bedroom.

When it comes to the bedroom, I say the more the merrier . . . No, this is not taking a turn for the obscene; I'm talking piling the whole family - chickens included - into the bed.

I've already shared my love of TV time in the bedroom, but now Dean and I are onto another debate: whether or not kids and furry family members in the bed create a boundary between us.

Not surprisingly, I love having the kids in our bed to cuddle, and I think the bigger the bed, the better! Dean, on the other hand, wants to up the romance and downsize us to a queen bed! He even put down blue tape on our current bed to show me the size of a queen vs. king. In his defense, we actually did have a queen bed in the beginning, honeymoon phase of our relationship, so I can see why he'd associate that with romance. But now that we have three kids jumping in and out of our sheets that would never work!

Right now, our usual routine is to let the kids fall asleep in our bed, and then move them to their own rooms. So here's my question for you: do you ever let your kids sleep in your bed? What are your bedroom boundaries? And, does a smaller bed equal more hanky panky?
