Before you hit the town tonight, you might want to be prepared. Last weekend I ask you to tell me how you recover from a wild night out and your suggestions were awesome - looks like you've all done this before! In an effort to be more positioned this time around, I've compiled my 10 favorite suggestions for how to avoid a nasty hangover. Check them out below:

Don't drink the cheap stuff
Don't drink the sweet stuff
Don't mix alcohols
Hydrate before and after a night of drinking
Eat before, during, and after a night of drinking

Going all out can make Saturday morning lack its usual prestige, especially when you’re too tired to even enjoy it. Some of us have to take a rest day, while others hit the gym or another bar! It's Monday morning and you had a big weekend... are you still feeling the effects of all the alcohol you drank? Chances are you have suffered from a bad hangover on a day where you need to look your best and be on your toes, so hopefully these tips will help cure the product of the previous night.

Since alcohol will dehydrate you, make sure to load up on water throughout the day and alternate every alcoholic drink with a glass of water. Most importantly, load up on water before you go to bed and keep a full glass next to your bed
Never drink on an empty stomach. Opt for foods rich in carbohydrates and fat as fatty foods slow the absorption of alcohol
Avoid cheap booze; stick with top shelf alcohol. It might be more expensive but it will be well worth it the next morning
Pace yourself and know your limits
Your skin will also feel the effects of dehydration from alcohol, so before you go to bed, slather on face moisturizer to prevent that dry feeling when you wake up
Since drinking causes puffiness around your eyes, try sleeping on an extra pillow and don't forget eye cream
Even if you are running late the next morning, don't skip your morning shower. Since alcohol resides in your pores, the steam from your hot shower will help sweat out the alcohol and the smell
If you wake up with a headache, take ibuprofen and eat a hearty breakfast. Sports drinks like Gatorade will help re-hydrate your loss of electrolytes
The best cure from a long night is rest, so make sure to listen to your body

Even if you follow every preventative measure, if you drink too much, you will have a hangover. I hope these tips help, and remember, never drink and drive, and always drink responsibly.

Hotel Offers a Hangover-Themed Bachelor Party Package

I don't know if you've seen The Hangover, but I can't imagine aspiring to replicate the weekend those guys have, what with a live tiger in the bathroom, a live baby of mysterious origin, and a missing groom. But apparently, Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas thinks this pop culture reference will resonate with bachelors.

It's offering a Hangover-themed hotel package called Ultimate Hangover. Here's the sales pitch:

Some guys just can't handle Vegas, as demonstrated in the new motion picture The Hangover. But this town's easier to handle if you've got the tools to recover from a hangover of your own.

Forum Tower Royal suite? Check. (Also, checked for tigers.) Food to take the edge off? Check. Use your $50 Serendipity 3 food credit for the Hangover Omelet, loaded with bacon, French fries, mushrooms and cheddar. Hair of the dog? Check – use your $50 pool credit for a round of bloody Marys at the Garden of the Gods pool complex.

I'm not gonna argue with the power of a hangover omelet, but if that uses up the entire $50 food credit, those mushrooms had better be truffles. Still, I have to give them points for creativity. What amenities would you want after a wild weekend in Vegas?

The Hangover Gets Its Laughs From Dubious Places

If you watch TV, I'm sure you've seen the trailer for the new bro-centric comedy The Hangover. The movie follows a group of best-dudes on a wild bachelor party weekend in Vegas where they get so messed up they can't remember anything that happens. I have to admit the preview garnered a few reflexive chuckles out of me, but after reading some more critical reactions to the movie, I see some troubling references. Child abuse, violence, nagging women, the Holocaust, a cameo by a convicted rapist (Mike Tyson), overweight people, and extreme alcoholism are all used to inspire laughter from the audience. Do you take issue with these types of "bro" movies, or do outraged viewers need to lighten up?

I saw The Hangover this weekend, and yes, although half of it is in really bad taste - I laughed so hard I almost spit my nacho cheese-covered chips out across the theater. It's such a good ensemble cast that everyone contributes to the insane humor.

Besides Heather Graham, Bradley Cooper was definitely the film's eye candy. (Sorry, Zack Galifianakis!) So which is it - do, dump or marry?

The makers of NoHang have NoScruples. They're marketing a product that allegedly takes away your hangover and that comes in jumbo packs for alcoholics, and then they have the nerve to encourage you to drink "moderately and responsibly." (Can you do that and be on a bender?) I had no idea there were so many of these products on the market, but I'm sure they all have to do a little two-step around those pesky issues of alcoholism, binge drinking, and DUIs. I have a great remedy for hangovers: NoDrinky!
