We all have our guilty pleasures — like eating a delectable piece of dark chocolate. Unfortunately, there are some actions we don't get much pleasure from, but still can't say not to. Whether it's continuing to hook up with an ex-boyfriend or never being able to turn down a dinner invitation when you really need to save money, which temptation do you wish you could resist more?

I have a few. They include: watching The Millionaire Matchmaker, eating too much cheese, listening to Britney Spears, buying pricey coffee instead of making it at home, celebrity news, and savoring dark chocolate (OK I don't feel so guilty about that one).
Do you have any lowbrow tastes or regular indulgences that make your life that much better?

When you're home alone, do you do the same things that you'd do if your boyfriend, husband, or sister was over? I've been home sick for the past few days and I've noticed that I definitely have my own secret single behaviors that are actually quite funny: I eat my favorite comfort foods, I set up shop on the couch and indulge in reality TV, I wear my most comfortable worn-in baggy sweat pants, and I soak in the tub until I turn into a prune! Now you all know my secret routine, so what's yours?

You know what I'm talking about: the stories you will always, always click on and check out, even though there's a tiny part of you saying "Do you really need to read another Natalee Holloway story? Go learn about the Colombian Trade Agreement!")
Maybe it's "junk food news?" ("Pleasure" is definitely the wrong word, as the stories do usually have a serious component to them.

With a title like this, how could you go wrong? And then there's the tag line: "In spite of everything, she's still your mom." Bwahahahaha!

Man, some stuff looks sooo bad it's gotta be good on some level. Like
Homie Spumoni: "All his life, African-American Renato has been raised in an Italian-American family. Completely unaware that he is Black, his life is upended when his birth parents materialize, causing Renato to examine what his true heritage is.

We all have our preferred guilty pleasures. As you know, I love The Bachelor, and funny enough, many of my girlfriends profess a weakness for romance novels. Though I'm not a big reader of bodice rippers, I definitely understand how the stolen glances, melodramatic plot lines, and steamy love scenes could be entertaining, as either a guilty pleasure or just a pleasure.

It's no longer a stereotype; a study has concluded that men feel less guilty than women. Whether it's because they genuinely hurt someone or forgot a friend's birthday, the Spanish Journal of Psychology reports hombres are less likely to feel remorse, sorrow, empathy, or anger.
The study used the very scientific method of quizzing 300 men and women, ages 15-50, about hypothetical situations (taking back a promise, not visiting a relative in the hospital, snapping at a friend) and women displayed significantly higher levels of guilt.

Nope, your browser hasn't crashed back to 1996 — the Boulder, CO, district attorney has just announced that new DNA tests have cleared JonBenet Ramsey's entire family in the killing of the 6-year-old beauty queen, 12 years ago.
The tests point to an "unexplained third party" as the culprit in the crime from DNA left behind in skin cells, one who is presumably still at large.
It's been confirmed that prosecutors no longer consider any member of the Ramsey family to be a suspect, though for years her parents, John and Patsy Ramsey, were thought to be under an "umbrella of suspicion" in the girl's slaying.

I'll admit it: one of my guilty TV pleasures is The Millionaire Matchmaker. I find the orchestrated pairings entertaining and stomach-churning at the same time. Of course, there are other matchmakers hard at work without reality TV contracts.
