After you've said "I do," it's time to start your life as husband and wife. Even though being a newlywed is no doubt exciting, there are still a lot of decisions to make, and what to do with your money should be pretty high on that list. Since times have changed since our parents got married, merging your bank accounts is no longer the obvious choice when it comes to financial planning. When you factor in duel incomes, prenups, and a high divorce rate into the equation, couples have to protect themselves and their money. Some couples choose to open one joint account and keep another one separate, others keep all their money completely independent of each others. There are those that believe what's mine is yours and merge everything. But is that a good idea? I've yet to experience this so tell me, is pooling all your money after getting married a good or bad idea?

Good Idea or Bad Idea: Going to a Strip Club With Your Man

I was out with friends earlier this week, and one of my buddies couldn't stop talking about all the couples he saw when he went to a strip club for his friend's bachelor party - I guess he was surprised by the number of women there. Though I'm not a fan of strip clubs myself - I just feel so bad for the women that are being objectified - I know many women who enjoy going with their significant others. Perhaps they like to keep tabs on their men, or maybe they genuinely enjoy it - whatever the reason, to each her own! What do you think about visiting a strip bar with your significant other? Do you think it's a good way to understand the male point of view, or do you think some things are meant for guys only?

Good Idea or Bad Idea: Befriending a BFF to Get the Date

The other night out with a friend, I was approached by a guy who was friendly and talkative. In fact, he was so relaxed that I could tell right off the bat that he wasn’t interested in me. All it took was one glance at the googly eyes he was making at my friend for me to know that he was befriending me as a way of getting to her. I was happy enough to play along, and by the end of the night she was totally excited to have a date for the weekend.

If you’re into dating strategies this seems like a good one, but I'd rather not chance giving some random guy the wrong impression when all I really want to do is talk to his friend. What do you think? Is befriending his BFF to get a date a good idea or a bad idea?

A Good Idea or a Bad Idea: Mixing Friends

Mixing friends can sometimes be a lot of fun, but other times it can turn out disastrous. When you're the only common thread amongst different groups, one would think that because they like you, they'd like each other too, but that isn't always the case. Of course we want everyone to get along, but it my experience, sometimes it's just better to keep specific friends separate. Though I've matched some pretty good friendships, I've also failed miserably, which in turn created nothing but drama for myself. So ladies, in your experience, do you think mixing friends is a good idea or a bad idea?

Good Idea or Bad Idea: "Mommy Makeover"

Have you heard of the "mommy makeover"? It's a triple whammy under the knife including a breast lift with or without breast implants, a tummy tuck and some liposuction for women after giving birth. Pregnancy obviously takes a toll on your body, but some women are actually feeling resentful of their kids for their post pregnancy flaws.

According to the New York Times, last year, doctors nationwide performed more than 325,000 “mommy makeover procedures” on women ages 20 to 39, up 11 percent from 2005. While these surgeries are comforting for some women out there, others are feeling the "mommy makeover" as added pressure to be thin, perfect and "back to normal" after giving birth. The New York Times article quotes one mother, Karen Murphy, as saying: "Badges of motherhood have turned into badges of shame and, if you’re the one caught without a tummy tuck, then you won’t get invited to the party." So ladies, what I want to know is, do you think it's a good idea or a bad idea to have such surgeries for new mothers? Do you think there should be such emphasis placed on one's looks after giving birth or do you think a mom should be more concerned about her baby than her body?
