Do Tell: Do You Bring Your Significant Other Even When He's Not Invited?

I was recently at a girls' dinner and one of my friends showed up with her boyfriend!! Why she thought that was OK is beyond me, but it was pretty infuriating. I really cherish my girl time so when a man was unexpectedly thrown into the mix, the entire dynamic changed. Boy talk, period talk, sex talk, and shop talk turned into watch-what-you-say talk! I know it's not that big of a deal, but don't you think there is a time and a place for bringing along your mate? I might be way off base here, so do tell ladies, do you bring your significant other with you everywhere you go, even if he isn't invited?

Do Tell: Let's Talk About Sex!

Even if you think you're a sexual expert, I can guarantee you don't know everything there is to know about sex. Although most people don't sit around and divulge their private and inmates stories about their lover, let's face it, sometimes it's fun to talk sex! Since there's no handbook on love making, how else do you learn and grow in the bedroom department? So ladies, do tell, who do you talk about sex with the most?

Gender Roles - Love 'Em Or Leave 'Em?

Here's a poll from OnSugar blog Rantings of a Single Girl.

Let's go back to the 1940s for a minute. My grandmother was married, raised a kid, ran a farm, taught school, and kept a clean house. All while my grandfather was away at war. After my grandfather came back from the war and had recovered from his wounds, they went back into their traditional roles. He ran the farm and did all the "manly" things. My grandmother raised my aunt, taught school, and still had dinner on the table by 5:30 PM every night. All while pregnant with my dad.

I'm exhausted just talking about it.

I bring all this up because I've been thinking about gender roles lately. I look at my parents. Granted, my dad still does majority of the "manly'" things around the house and my mom does the household things, neither one is afraid to help out the other. My dad does housework. My mom can swing a hammer when needed.

And that's what I like.

I'll never be able to date a guy who believes in traditional gender roles. As much as I like cooking and being in the kitchen, I don't like being expected to be there. If we have kids, I'm not going to be the one who raises them. I certainly expect their father to help out. At the same time, I don't expect him the only one who takes out the trash or fixes things when they break. I think 50/50 is a good blend.

So could you be with someone who firmly believes in traditional gender roles? Or would you rather share the load?

How Do I Handle This Strip Club Situation?

First of all my husband and I have been married for half of a year now. He's in the Navy and just got deployed, but right before the deployment he was sent to Hawaii for one day. I dropped him off at the airport and it was so hard for me to let him go. He called from Hawaii and we talked for five minutes then he said he had to go and he would call back.

As I was checking our bank account to check on the bills I noticed he had paid to go in to some type of club. While crying my eyes out because of how much I already missed him and knowing he wasn't coming home any time soon, I waited for him to call back. When he finally did I got him to tell me the truth and it turned out to be a strip club. This was his first time going into a strip club. The problem is that I feel so offended and disrespected. I know I'm not unattractive, and I'm very open minded in our sex life. So to me it seems as if I'm not enough for him, and that he didn't care about how I feel about strip clubs. The fact that he was lusting over those girls makes me so angry and upset.

When we talked I was so mad and disappointed and couldn't stop crying. But after a while I realized that I've been told not to say anything negative or upsetting to him since he was going on deployment to a very stressful environment. I won't be able to talk to him at all while he's gone, I can only send emails but I can't confront him there either. So I had to pretend that I got over it and that I was OK, so he wouldn't feel bad and guilty. But in reality I feel so disgusted and can't take the thought of him wanting someone else. I'm alone and don't have any family here, this is our first deployment and I'm still trying to handle it. He made things so much worse for me, now I'm not just worried about his safety, but also at the thought of when he goes to a port he's going to cheat on me. I'm just hurt and feel resentment towards him, but for as long as he's out I have to pretend I'm fine and support him through the emails. I know some people might think I'm over reacting, but to me this is just like cheating.

Stranger Than Fiction: To Catch a Husband

Sitting in her living room in South Wales, Cheryl Roberts entered a chat room posing as a 14-year-old girl. Why, you ask? After finding suspicious messages on her husband's computer, Cheryl wanted to catch him in the act of trying to seduce young schoolgirls. Unfortunately, she succeeded.

Cheryl's husband David had no idea that as he chatted away in his study, he was really talking to his wife in the living room. Using a webcam, David filmed himself performing "acts of indecency" on himself and he thought he was broadcasting the images to a 14-year-old girl, but it was really his wife. Upon seeing this horrifying display, Cheryl called the cops, who then found a bunch of child porn on his computer. No word if Chris Hansen made an appearance.

David went on to face legal repercussions, and I think it's needless to say that the couple is now divorced. This poor woman!

Group Therapy: Boys and Girls- Different Species?!

This isn't so much something I need advice on as something I need to have confirmed! Am living with my lovely boyfriend-am not by any means a clingy girlfriend-I dance, paint , write, swim -love to hang out by myself.....but am finding it a little lonely. Well I don't know is lonely the write word- I previously lived with a gaggle of girls and before that at home and I guess I'm used to mugs of tea and chats and just hanging out with others.

My boyfriend however just prefers to stay on the Internet all day, no talking, just typing, when I come into the room he often doesn't even acknowledge it. Now that I actually said that it sounds bad, it never really bugged me until last night when he went in next door, just after we had had sex and it sounded like he was emailing someone, that is really strange isn't it? It's not like he's having an affair online or anything - he never hides anything- he could be on sports sites for five hours straight reading random stats and everyone should have their privacy anyway- it's not that I really even resent it I would just like to feel less excluded!

Lately I've been feeling like I get in the way- not a good thing in your own apartment and have been hiding out in our room reading. Do guys just not like to talk that much? Or is this strange behavior? I think the fact that he's older-nearly thirty and I'm 25 and he's used to living by himself is probably the reason why. Has anyone come across this before/is in a similar situation?

Would You Talk to Your Mother About Masturbation?

Talking to your mom about sex can be hard enough. Though an open relationship and sex-positive mom can make all the difference, it's an inevitably squeamish topic to broach. And if there's one thing more private than sex, it's masturbation. Yet I know people who've dished with their moms, albeit, with mixed results.

Masturbation seems a lot like reading a book to me - you just pick one and try to get into it. What's a girl looking for from mom? Recommendations!

OMFG! Blow, Booze, and Threesomes on Gossip Girl

You know what the Parents Television Council doesn't like? Threesomes. Implicit or explicit, it says there's no place for a ménage à trois on network TV. Fair enough! The council has asked The CW to reconsider airing Monday's Gossip Girl episode, which will feature a threesome.

After an US Weekly interview about the sartorial splendor of Gossip Girl, Costume Designer Eric Daman took a jab at the controversy while talking to New York magazine's Daily Intel. He made a very valid point, saying:

"So, it’s okay for them to be doing blow and drinking Scotch when they’re 18, but it’s not okay for them to be having a threesome?"

I can't really argue with that! About a quarter of TrèsSugar readers have had a threesome, which sounds about right to me. In my experience, teen drinking is more about taking your vodka messy in Gatorade bottles rather than neat in martini glasses - forget thinking about threesomes! So while the Parents Television Council can take their argument to the network that brought us OMFG, I'd have to say GFL! What say you?

iPhone App Helps Men Keep Score of Chicks They've Scored

Pepsi's Amp Up energy drink (another one?!) has created a free iPhone app that gives players "up-to-the-minute info, feeds, lines" so that they can talk to their favorite kinds of women - "24 in all."

Basically, men can either get tips before they score, or they can upload details of their hookups as a result of these indubitably useful apps after they score. Nice touch, Pepsi.

I would rename this the "wishful thinking app." Because what guy who would ask his phone how he should speak to a "punk" woman because she's "staring holes into him" is really scoring at all? I love when the guy in the commercial clicks on the punk cartoon girl and it takes him to a definition of punk ("Punk rock is a genre that . . ."). Wow.

This app may try to help a man score one of 24 types of women, but it seems to be marketed to only one kind of dude: a loser.
