Here she is on the Sundance Channel's second installment of its Green Porno series telling us about the fascinating sex life of the limpet sea creature.

Get a load of this: The limpet (a sequential hermaphrodite) starts off sexless. Then it turns female. Next, it's joined by another sexless limpet that turns male. (Are you still with me?) They mate, the female dies, and then the male closest to her turns female himself. Wow. Honestly, Isabella could read the directions on a shampoo bottle and I would be rapt in fascination. This song "Woo Hoo" is an ear worm, for sure. Years ago, this Japanese all-girl rockabilly band The 5678's performed it in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill. Now, I keep hearing "Woo Hoo" piped into stores, pizza joints, etc. I forgot what a cool song it is, and what a great idea it is to have an all-girl rockabilly group! Enjoy.

I saw this ~~woman~~ powerhouse of fabulousness perform last month, and lemme tell you, Leslie and the Lys do not disappoint. You gotta love a woman who composes rad lady jams and wears form-fitting gold suits with octopus shoulder pads on the outside. Her backup singers are amazing, her style is fierce, and she inspires freaks and geeks everywhere. Go Leslie!

So I hear Dolly Parton is a guest on this season's American Idol. (I'm sooo gonna watch tonight.) In my eyes, Dolly can do no wrong. She's got an angelic voice that's a mix of strong and vulnerable, and even with the toned-down production of this original version of "Jolene," you can feel every bit of heartache and longing. Lest you think I'm being too serious, know this: Every time I get lunch from Boudin bakery here in SF (pronounced "bo-deen"), I sing the name to this tune. Yeah, I know. I'm a super dork.

This trailer for the supremely silly She's the Man highlights what's best about the movie: the adorably goofy Amanda Bynes. (The hotness that is Channing Tatum is a close second.) Bynes plays Viola, who, in order to avoid some dumb cotillion her mother wants her to go to, disguises herself as her brother, Sebastian, goes to his boarding school, joins the soccer team, and falls in love with one of her teammates played by Tatum. Between her dude-like "suuup!" greeting and her feigned ball-to-the-crotch pain, Bynes is hilarious. I want to see her in more comedy roles! She's like a young Lucille Ball. . .

How cute would it be to have a cat boyfriend? Okay, a little weird, too, but let's play along. Bjork and Spike Jonze, the director of this video for "Triumph of the Heart" from her album Medulla, create a video fantasy involving just that scenario. Bjork gets sick of her cat boyfriend and decides to paint the town red without him. She eventually returns to his furry arms, and they both live happily ever after! (She really falls during the making of the vid and decided to keep the blood and scrapes uncovered on her face.) Bjork is such a nutter ~~but~~ and I love her! (Thanks for the send, BellaSugar!)

I am seriously obsessed with this song. Just ask GeekSugar who informed me that "New Soul" by Yael Naim is the addictive little ditty that accompanies those Apple ads for the MacBook Air. We were practically co-authoring a dissertation together on why that is a perfect song for this product. (Don't hate us because we have fun jobs!) Oh, yeah, and check out Yael. She's adorable and you might never get the song out of your head . . .

PJ Harvey was really hot stuff for a while in the '90s. She received multiple Grammy nominations, awards too numerous to mention, and Rolling Stone magazine named her "Artist of the Year" in 1995. In a world of talentless, "look at me, I'm sexy" hacks (I'm sure you know who I'm talkin' about!), her daring music, lyrics and performance style make her stand out. This is one of her older songs, but it showcases her quirky talent. Love you, Polly Jean!
