Hello Diva! Patti Labelle's (Alleged) Disgraceful Treatment of a Toddler

Patti Labelle might be in the market for a very good publicist. According to ABC News, a lawsuit was filed on Monday by Kevin and Roseanna Monk, claiming that the legendary songstress flew into a rage, allegedly screaming at Roseanna Monk and throwing water on both Monk and her 18-month-old daughter. What prompted this extreme reaction? Apparently Labelle (who has five children of her own) didn't approve of the way Rosanna Monk was supervising her daughter, and didn't appreciate Monk's response, "Lady, mind your own business," when confronted by the songstress. The little girl was understandably petrified, throwing up, and crying hysterically, and is apparently now having trouble sleeping through the night.

Being a diva is one thing, but this sounds totally beyond the scope of normal human behavior - can't imagine Aretha pulling this type of stunt. Have you ever witnessed anything like this? What's the most inappropriate reaction to a toddler you've ever seen?

Disecting the Word "Diva"

As I watched Paula Abdul, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis, Jennifer Hudson, and Miley Cyrus perform on VH1's Diva show last night I kept thinking: what exactly is a diva?

So I looked it up in the dictionary and found a variety of definitions. I discovered that the word "diva" is derived from the Italian word for a female deity, or goddess. It's also the word for a female opera singer. And here are some of the more commonly used definitions I found:

Diva:

an admired, glamorous, or distinguished woman

a haughty, spoiled woman

It seems to qualify as a diva you have to have some special mix of talent and eccentricity. Do you consider yourself a diva?

When women are assertive, decisive, or domineering, people tend to categorize them as difficult or diva-esque when really, oftentimes, they are simply just being strong willed. For years, people tend to attach negative stigmas to those characteristics, but let's face it, we all have a little bit of sassiness in us that we have to let show every now and again!

In every television show, there's always a token ball busting female character to shake things up a bit, so ladies, who is your all time favorite TV diva?

Gwen Stefani is One Healthy Diva

Ever since her No Doubt days, I have been a fan of Gwen Stefani. I always thought she got her smokin' bod from all that dancing she does on stage, but I had no idea she was a health-nut too. Be it health-nut diva who has a thing for the color white, a health-nut nonetheless.

Along with at least 30 bottles of assorted water (Fiji, Vitamin Water, Fruit Water), TMZ reported that she also has a rather long list of organic vegetables, fruits and other healthy items on her tour rider -- the list of "artist demands" for their backstage dressing room.

Gisele Bundchen rocked a sheer shirt last night at a photocall in Sao Paulo. The blouse served the purpose of showing off one of her creations, the blue bra. Gisele's in her native country of Brazil, having arrived yesterday, in order to do press for her Gisele Bundchen Brazilian Intimates collection. The evening event was organized so Gisele could debut her Diva, Wish, and Rococó lines for the brand. She's the face and body of the intimates' ads, and also recent landed a big magazine job. Gisele is topless on the cover of the June 2012 issue of Vogue Paris.

Tracy worked with Molly Sims while she was expecting, and now you can learn three of her signature moves designed to keep moms-to-be feeling and looking their best. These exercises focus on the backside, since as Tracy says, there's no reason your "butt can't look as good as possible, for as long as possible" when pregnant.
